What's more, drakboot already handle it.
Are you saying that drakboot will write the setting into /etc/default/grub ?
If so it can overwrite the value already there, what harm will this do?
What if a user installs the grub2 package without using drakboot.
How in that case can we supply a 10 second default without setting it in
the configuration file?
I will revert this if absolutely necessary, but I really don't
understand why you feel it is wrong.
