On a Cauldron system up to date till today, Gnome apps seem to ignore the cameras in the system. I have tried with cheese and empathy on two boxes, one with an external USB camera and one with an internal one (it is USB anyways). gstreamer-properties seems to recognise the camera and can test it with v4l2, also luvcview gets image on both cameras. But those gnome apps don't. No clue but I noticed something similar the other day too It is working fine after latest updates. BTW, do you know any echo server to test the video capabilities of empathy, preferable something with google talk ? TIA
