Maybe it has something to do with the graphics driver (Intel 3000 embedded chipset - Thinkpad X220) I will file a bug. Thx, Robert

It is a GTK bug according to the Eclipse bug tracker. With the compositing/effects off, everything works OK. Could this be the same issue? Jan

Almost there :) Just missing gtk3 libs, which should be something like gtk+-3_0-3.xxx I'll try to reproduce here and investigate. Might also be a cairo issue. I'll try: - update gtk+3.0 to 3.6.2 (like you) - update cairo to whatever version is shipped in mga3/cauldron will keep you posted. Note: it might also be a driver issue Does turning on/off kwin compositing (desktop effects) change anything ? Ultimately, you might as well file a bug either to bugs.kde.org (product oxygen, component oxygen-gtk3) and/or to bugs.mageia.org Now, I checked with - latest gtk-3.0 (version 3.6.2, compiled manually), - latest glib (version 2.34.2 similar to mga3, and compiled manually), - libcairo2-1.12.8-1.mga3 Still can't reproduce. See: http://wstaw.org/m/2012/12/05/plasma-desktopeX2766.png Background is properly rendered, (unlike in your screenshot) and all buttons are present before hovering. So that I am clueless. I'll udpate later on. Hugo Cheers, R.Fox

Libreoffice, as far as I know, uses gtk2 theming (or possibly Qt, not sure about what's packaged in latest mageia). Can someone confirm ? But in all cases this should be a different issue. Can you also test whether other gtk3 applications are affected, such as "gedit", or "nautilus" ? And gtk2 applications ? (such as gimp) ? Thanks in advance, Hugo Cheers, R.Fox
