Can someone move core/updates_testing/{virtual,dkms,x11}* into core/release?

thx for fixing vbox.

As this is Cauldron, I think we shoold just move x11-server-1.12 and
the rebuild drivers from */updates_testing back into {core,nonfree}/release
then push fglrx.

updated status:

- major driver that were tested and works OK:
o video: fbdev intel nouveau nvidia radeon vesa
o input: evdev keyboard mouse synaptics wacom

- major driver that do not work:
 o video: fglrx

- minor driver that would be nice to test:
o video: openchrome sis virtualbox vmware
 o input: vmmouse

The following minor drivers still fail to rebuild:

- x11-driver-video-sisimedia
- x11-driver-video-sisusb
- x11-driver-video-xgi

Waiting for you to test on more real HW...
Mainly : fglrx

We need official 12.6 driver (that currently is released as beta)
One "side-effect" is that when we update to 12.6 AMD is dropping
support in fglrx for every GPU older than HD5xxx so we need to
push updated ldetect-lst at the same time to get automatic switch
to ati driver for the older GPUs

 - chatting on facebook.com results in the small profile pictures not

Yep. wich is why I called it a missing feature, not a bug.

but we need a way to make it work.

I guess for now submitting the needed x11-server to nonfree
updates_testing too and rebuilding the nonfree packages that needs
it will work around this

A package in nonfree/updates_testing might not want deps from

Nvidia also works fine here 9600M GT.

Nice work on the new stack.

updated status:

- major driver that were tested and works OK:
  o video: radeon fbdev
o input: wacom, evdev mouse keyboard
- major driver that need being tested:
o video: fglrx intel nouveau nvidia vesa
  o input: synaptics
- minor driver that need being tested:
  o video: openchrome sis vmware
  o input: vmmouse

The following drivers still fail to rebuild:

- virtualbox
- x11-driver-video-sisimedia
- x11-driver-video-sisusb
- x11-driver-video-xgi

The only other driver we miss is virtualbox which fails to compile:
/usr/include/xorg/os.h:496:25: error: expected identifier or '('
before '__extension__'

Waiting for you to test on more real HW...
Remember to enable both core/updates_testing & nonfree/updates_testing

The following drivers failed to rebuild:

- virtualbox
- x11-driver-video-sisimedia
- x11-driver-video-sisusb
- x11-driver-video-xgi

The only other driver we miss is virtualbox which fails to compile:

FWIW, gdm can now be compiled with without the --without-systemd switch
to enable the automatic multi-seat stuff (as Xorg binary should not
accept a --seat argument). But this can probably wait until it's in main :)

I've pushed those

I've pushed those too.

The following drivers failed to rebuild:

- virtualbox
- x11-driver-input-synaptics
- x11-driver-video-sisimedia
- x11-driver-video-sisusb
- x11-driver-video-xgi

synaptics needs rediffing some patches.
The only other driver we miss is virtualbox which fails to compile:
/usr/include/xorg/os.h:496:25: error: expected identifier or '('
before '__extension__'

Drakx installer works fine with new xserver (just need a little adaptation
b/c a xkb file has disappeared)

I've just uploaded it.

However I've mistakely uploaded the following packages in
nonfree/updates_testing instead of in core/updates_testing.
Can sysadmins move them back to core/updates_testing?
