Good email, I agree, we have quite a few bugs in the installer at
present. I am not an expert at fixing installer bugs, but can help with
testing and reporting them. Installer bugs I think are pretty critical to
the release, as a lot of these are not something that can be fixed later.

Hi there

We are in the last run for Mageia 3 final release. We have postponed
the final release and added a beta 4 to give us some more time. The
problem is we *still* have 59 bugs in list... We *must* all focus on
it. Fixing bugs is for sure less fun than testing new versions and
developing new functionnalities. But we are also working for Mageia
users and we want to deliver a new version and make everybody happy
with it.

So here is a review of these bugs:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ao3phYOTRNeQdEEtSjBSSWkxTmdIcmJZcGtfYjN1NVE&usp=sharing

I have sorted it by BugID. Don't know if it is permanent or just
for my view (not so expert in Google Docs), but it helps to find
a bug you know you posted and have its ID...

See the comments for each of them. We need help on testing,
debugging and fixing bugs. Everybody can help. Please add your name
if you want to help on one of them. Do not hesitate to ask any
question here or on irc.

The first reviews are rather good on beta 3. Keep on the good work

Thanks all!

Just added write access. I did not notice it was in read only access

this is called bikeshedding...

what's important here is that the bugs are fixed, and i'm sure you can find
them
using bugzilla anyway...

i don't really think someone need to add comments as bugreports themself is
the place for this.

this...

(nevertheless it might be necessary to register to add a comment... and
then, indeed, I understand this might bring ethical problems for some of
us who don't agree with Google policy ... but that would lead us to

We've used Google docs before for similar things - I used it a lot
before for tracking service migrations because I wanted people to update
the document, which they did. It's just convenient to use such a tool
sometimes.

Also a huge amount of interaction and collaboration these days is
enabled via Google+. I can understand you not wanting a Google account,
but it's a very important vector for me these days - critical I would say.

Anyway if that's not good for you then no worries, a friendly request to
copy/paste the info somewhere else would have been sufficient.

For now I pasted it in EtherCalc.org, it might be easier to use than
the wiki (and no registration is needed to use it):

What is wrong with asking things a bit less rude? Always Nice to sera
people so fast in such kind of answer.
