Hi,

'Twas brillig, and Anne Nicolas at 08/01/13 11:21 did gyre and gimble:
Let start again our weekly meeting! As usual on #mageia-dev at 20h UTC
 Here are the proposed topics

I don't think I'll be able to attend this evening :( (maybe later - but
that somewhat depends on how the evening plays out)

 - Mageia 3 release (planning, freeze, coming isos)
 - mass rebuild (would be nice to have pterjan and tmb around for this
 topic)
 - release critical bugs
 - following build errors
 - FOSDEM 2013

Nothing much new from me. I hardly touched my computer for 2 weeks over
the holidays (\o/). Still need to tweak a whole bunch of packages that
are still shipping files in /var/run and /var/lock and convert them to
tmpfiles. I'll get this done, but not sure exactly when.

It is good to have it in specs for Mageia 3, but solving it is more in the
domain of maintenance for Mageia 2, were a number of package updates are
likely to fail after an upgrade from Mageia 1 to Mageia 2 (that, plus the
already known need to workaround from QA team when new dependencies are
added to a package).

So what we said during QA team meeting, where ennael was present, is that
we'd like to bring it to packager meeting so that a definitive solution is
found in a near future, it possible.

I would like to talk about backport too, but it's closely related to QA,

better to await the QA team meeting results.

One (minor) point to add should be

need to be added back until alpha 3, and what else it needs

 - Review of QA, triage, secteam and mentoring

 Cheers

I will probably not be able to attend tonight, so I can't do the QA review.

About the ASSIGNED status, I would advise to not lose too much time discussing
it, as the question should be answered in a broader way by triage team (and
those interested) by proposing a revised workflow, including but not limited
to, the use of the ASSIGNED status (TRIAGED status, reasons for closing a bug,
etc.).

The Fedora workflow is probably a could basis that we could adapt to our
organization (less the bodhi step):
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/BugStatusWorkFlow

Discussing the ASSIGNED status alone will not lead very far, and it's not
blocking for now: currently triage team simply doesn't touch it at all,
leaving it for the maintainer to choose), which is not far from what we did in
Mandriva and what they do in Fedora.
