[Mailman-Users] Searching user list for mod bit
Is there a way to search the entire user list for moderation bit. What I would like to do is search the list of users of my mailman lists to see who 'does not' have the moderation bit set. Had a situation the other day where a user replied to one of my lists and it went through because the person that added them unchecked the mod Thanks in advance, Johnathen -- Mailman-Users mailing list Mailman-Users@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/mailman-users Mailman FAQ: http://wiki.list.org/x/AgA3 Security Policy: http://wiki.list.org/x/QIA9 Searchable Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/mailman-users%40python.org/ Unsubscribe: http://mail.python.org/mailman/options/mailman-users/archive%40jab.org

[Mailman-Users] Web interface domain woes
I nearly complete setting up my new list server however I am running into a problem with the web interface. The interface is resolving to a different FQDN than what I want. I have edited the mm_cfg_py and restarted mailman (added DEFAULT_URL_HOST and DEFAULT_MAIL_HOST) and am at a loss as to what to do next Thank you in advance, Johnathen (Host: OS X Tiger, Mailman 2.1.11, Postfix) Postfix resolves to the correct domain and can send/receive emails... -- Mailman-Users mailing list Mailman-Users@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/mailman-users Mailman FAQ: http://wiki.list.org/x/AgA3 Security Policy: http://wiki.list.org/x/QIA9 Searchable Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/mailman-users%40python.org/ Unsubscribe: http://mail.python.org/mailman/options/mailman-users/archive%40jab.org
[Mailman-Users] Getting ready to try my first install of mailman on OS-X
Beyond my control is that we are not using OS-X Server. Awaiting a call that will get me access to the machine (remote location) to find out the specifics (Which OS version/etc). All I know is that it is a Mac Mini. Very possible it is Tiger (PowerPC)... So for right now if anyone has any links that I can read up on or hints/tips/suggestions.. The list configuration and membership, etc is all in the lists/LISTNAME/config.pck file and lists/LISTNAME/config.pck.last is a backup. If you have a working Mailman installation, you can create a LISTNAME list and then replace its lists/LISTNAME/config.pck with the recovered one. or you can run Mailman's bin/dumpdb to extract the data without actually installing the file as a list. Otherwise you can extract the addresses with 'strings', but not in a very nice form. -- Mark Sapiro The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, Californiabetter use your sense - B. [Mailman-Users] Recovering users from hard drive
My drive failed after creating a new list, I would like to recover the list members from the server. I have the original file that I imported from however I did a lot of cleanup after the import and before the drive failed. My hope is that after putting the drive into a second computer, and if I can see the data, is there a way to extract the mailing list members? [Mailman-Users] HELP
I recently moved to a new server. I did a new install, setup everything and it's all working great. I went to import my 'old' member list via the web interface, only I forgot to select the radio button to NOT notify the members of their subscription. How do I kill the mail that is trying to be sent out? Right now I shutdown postfix/mailman and even the network adapter. I really don't want to deal with the 'hundreds' of emails from the members asking if they have been subscribed to 'another' list... Any help would be appreciated. [Mailman-Users] New install problem
I've got a fresh new install on an Ubuntu Server 8, Mailman version 2.1.9 (installed from apt). Agent is Postfix I have the list installed and appears to be running. Mail sent to the list shows up in the archive. However the members are not receiving any mail from the lists. Checked the spam filter/bucket. I can send mail from the host... Any suggestions on where to start looking? I am up for doing the work in tracking this down but not sure where to start. -- Mailman-Users mailing list Mailman-Users@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/mailman-users Mailman FAQ: http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py Searchable Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/mailman-users%40python.org/ Unsubscribe: http://mail.python.org/mailman/options/mailman-users/archive%40jab.org Security Policy: http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py?req=show&file=faq01.027.htp
[Mailman-Users] Hello, I am new to this list and need a little help
I have two mailman mailing lists on my server, the first one is working great, however the second one is having some problems. When accessing the adminitrative website it is using 'localhost.localdomain.com' for the url. I am not sure where I can go to change this for the second list I have. The first list resolves to my actual domain correctly. I am using mailmain version 2.1.8, if you need any more information please let me know.
