I was wondering if anyone is monitoring the through put, queue levels, totals count of there listserv box/boxes? If so what are you using, web, command line, homemade, or off the shelf? Also I am looking for stuff that would be related to exim/apache. [Mailman-Users] admin passwd
Is there away to find an admin passwd for the web pages? I have root access to the system. Not sure if the passwd is stored somewhere with in the mailman configs or db's. [Mailman-Users] removal of subscriber list from web pages
Where can I find the entries (code) for roster/subscribe list, removal. Even with only admins set to see subscriber list only (to much info for people to see), I want to take even this out of the listinfo web page. Not sure where to begin to look, for the code removal. This is a good question, the configuration that I am running where I have multiple instances of mailman running, there is a need for changeing the Default url and the Private archive url. If you go into the mailman/Mailman dir there is a file Default.py, this is where the syntax for defining stuff is. This same line can be used in the mm_cfg.py file, it is here the user/SA can make mods. In mm_cfg.py file put. [Mailman-Users] changing the location of mailman
I would like to change the directory that mailman is in, but when doing a newlist, the echo comes up with /var/mailman/mail/wrapper Where would I change this? I found a spot in Default.py but not sure if this is the only spot that needs to be changed. [Mailman-Users] multiple mailman dirs
Someone posted a comment about having multiple directories of mailman, to create a grouping or hierarchy. If this is done, what would the entries look like for the cgi-bin in relation to ScriptAlias and the pipermail Alias. [Mailman-Users] upgrade from 2.0.9 to 2.1b1
Has anyone out there upgrade from 2.0.9 to 2.1b1? If so was there any major problems with the upgrade? Any thing special to watch out for? I am running mailman on a linux box, with exim, and apache. [Mailman-Users] Attachments in archive
Some posters want to push out pdf's which is fine in the emails, but not in the list archives. Is there away to make the archives show the attachment as a downloadable file, such as pdf? To change the footer or logo area in listinfo, you need to look at /var/mailman/Mailman/Cgi/listinfo.py There is a call there towards the bottom doc.AddItem(MailmanLogo()) this goes to /var/mailman/Mailman/htmlformat.py also toward the bottom is the MailmanLogo Read though it and you will see how the footer is built. I have mailman up and running, I can post to the list, can look at the list archives from the web. [Mailman-Users] transports not working
I am not able to build the lists via email but I can build it with a the add_member command. Also the pipermail/test has an error when it comes up. Does mailman use pipermail? I copied the config section from the howto into the exim.conf file. Also copied the info from creating a list into /etc/aliases then did a newaliases. [Mailman-Users] mailman installation problem
Hello, I am trying to get mailman up and go, the box is running mailman-2.0.8-1 exim-3.22.-2 apache-1.3.23.8 red hat 7.2 I tried to look through the docs but am not able to find a referecne to were mailman hooks into the webserver. from the command line I do a ./newlist test this works fine. when the email "Your new mailing list: test" showes up it showes http://boxname/mailman/admin/test http://boxname/mailman/listinfo/test Apache is able to get to ~/mailman/index.html after I create index.html But when or where is admin to be created, along with listinfo?
