RE: [Mailman-Users] hi resource usage

2002-09-25 Thread Roelf

Hi

What I noticed is that I stopped archiving the biggest list that we
have. It received 200-250 e-mail during 8 working hours. Now the system
resources seem to be normal.

Surely the archiving should be able to handle this??

First, IMHO, there is no comparison between 2.0.13 and 2.1b3 - the later
runs as a
daemon, the former doesn't, but one question beckons:

At what point do you TWO notice these CPU Usage stats?

RE: [Mailman-Users] hi resource usage

2002-09-24 Thread Roelf

Hi

We have 23 lists. The biggest is 200-250 e-mails during working hours.
Then we have 3 or 4 with 50-75 e-mails a day. The rest is small 0-10
mails a day.

I was running mailman 2.0.9 with no problems. After upgrading to mailman
2.1b3, mailman was running as a daemon and took the server straight to
hell.

On another box with 2.1b3 (FreeBSD 4.6-STABLE, Python-2.2.1, 1.4GHz,

I also haven't had this problem.

How large are your lists and how busy?

Hi

We have 23 lists. The highest is about 200-250 mails a day, then 3 of
50-75 a day and the rest very slow mail groups.

I also ran the previous version of mailman (2.0.9) and did not have any

the option to refine the search and the Format option is back.

[Mailman-Users] more htdig problems

2002-08-16 Thread Roelf Schreurs

Hi
Running mailman 2.1b3 (newest patches) with htdig.

I have a couple of lists but the search only works for some. When I run
nightly_htdig I get errors with some lists and other work.
Here is the ouput to show what is happening.

su-2.05a$ ./nightly_htdig -v

htdig'ing archive of list: openbsd
/usr/bin/sort: mkstemp error: Permission denied
htmerge: Word sort failed

htdig'ing archive of list: humor

As you can see, the list openbsd gives errors but the list humor works
fine.
Therefore I can sucsessfully search the humor archives, but the openbsd
archives gives and error when I try and search them. (Unable to read
document index file Did you run htmerge?)

I did a chown -R mailman:mailman /opt/mailman to make sure all permision
is the same.

I found that the lists that do work, are the ones created after I integrated
htdig.
Any idea how to fix the lists that was created before htdig intergration?
(PS. I have done a blow_away_htdig)

Thanks

Roelf

[Mailman-Users] mailman 2.1b3 and htdig

Hi

I just installed the mailman 2.1b3 and would like
to use htdig to search the archives. But the 2 plugins needed only has up to
version 2.1b2. Any idea when the plugins will be available for beta 3? Or are
they available somewhere apart from the plugins page on soureforge?

Thanks
