[Mailman-Users] i need help for linux ubuntu
This is not a characteristic of Mailman, but sounds more like an MTA problem. You may have a mail loop setup somewhere in your alias or redirect files. If you could forward some of the headers to us, we could trace the mail for you and give better input as to where the problem may lay. Of course the best place to look is in your log files... [Mailman-Users] Catholic Information Network (CIN) Moderators List flooded with blankemails
Dear Mailman list: Since the Catholic Information Network (CIN) changed to the Mailman program yesterday, our moderators' list (which has 40 to 50 moderators) is flooded with blank emails. Each moderator's list gets them with the name of his or her own list. E.G. mine come to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The forwarded letter below blanks come to [EMAIL PROTECTED] because he is the moderator of the CINMAIN list. Can anyone offer suggestions? Does anyone have a solution short of canceling my account with my ISP ? I want to believe they are working on it, but,... I know, Lynn, I am whining. Any other solution meanwhile? [Mailman-Users] Moderator question
Hello Mailman User List: My name is Father Richard Gant, and I am webmaster of http://www.solt3.org I also have a Catholic news list at CIN, the Catholic Information Network. CIN just a few days ago began using the Mailman program. A question: The postings I have set that they need moderator approval. But my own postings are delayed, because they come back to me with needing moderator approval. Can I set Mailman so that I, the moderator, can post directly. May God bless all of you on the list. [Mailman-Users] Information request
Our organization is considering using the Mailman software to administer its listserv(s) and while looking at your website, a few questions have raised. Could you please provide, as soon as possible, some information on the following isues: Subscribe/unsubscribe features: we would prefer that members subscribing to our list(s) would not have to use a password to subscribe. It appears that we might be able to avoid this by using the "mailto: " function. However, is there a way that the member would be able to unsubscribe WITHOUT using a password? It is mentioned under the "feature information" on your website that the software uses "majordomo-style email based commands". It is my understanding that with majordomo style commands one would simply need to write "unsubscribe" in the body of the message. Can Mailman do the same. We do NOT want our member to have to use a password for such functions AND we do NOT want them to receive any regular "password notification" at all. The only information our member(s) should receive are our periodic announcement and nothing else. Is this possible? A immediate reply to this email would be greatly appreciated since we are currently considering your software for our uses, and need to make a decision in the near future. Thank you.
