[Mailman-Users] Famous GID problem

2004-04-12 Thread mailings
Hi all,

I have been upgrading mailman an ran into the familiar problem:

Command died with status 2: "/usr/lib/mailman/mail/mailman post list1".
Command output: Failure to exec script. WANTED gid 2147483647, GOT gid 67. )

The problem is that i have never found a proper solution for it.
Rebuilding mailman is not an option for me (i install from SuSE distro's).
Does anyone has a simple straightforward checklist to solve this problem?

Thanks!

[Mailman-Users] config_db hangs for specific mailinglist

2003-12-19 Thread mailings
Hi all,

I was using config_db in a script to update several mailinglists.
But now one of the mailinglists can be updated anymore.
When i start the command for that specific list i "hangs".
I also can't login to the admin interface of that specific list; it hangs
also. Does anyone has a clue what can be wrong?

I cheched already the mailinglist with check_db but everything seems fine
there.

Any (quick) help would be appreciated!

You can imagine i don't wanna do this via the GUI.

[Mailman-Users] No moderation on whole groups

2003-09-10 Thread mailings
Hi all,

I while a go i migrated from Majordomo to Mailman.
One of the options in majordomo is to allow a whole file of email adresses to
send email to a specific mailinglist without moderation.
Because all the majordomo mailinglist members where stored in flat files it
was easy to allow the users of a specific mailinglist to send email to
another malinglist unmoderated.
Is it possible to the same in Mailman?

Thanks in advance for any replies!

[Mailman-Users] sync_members error (bug 666235)

2003-08-31 Thread mailings
Hi all!

I ran in to problems with sync_members.
Thanks to this list i found out very quickly what my problem is (see bug
666235).
The problem is now that i don't understand anything from python and the
solution look like a lot of python abracadabra to me.
Is there a straightforward explanation what exactly to do?
Thanks in advance!

2003-01-15 Thread mailings
Hi all,

At this moment i am using majordomo and looking into the option to change to
Mailman. With majordomo i have mailinglists from multiple domains running on
one emailserver. Can this also be done with mailman?
