scritping would be helpfull.

[Mailman-Users] Import list of users

2009-03-21 Thread Mitch Gore
Hi,

I am working on building a mailman server that send out newsletters. We
have a backend SQL database that holds all of our members info.

What I want to know is how would i go about automatically via a cron job run
a query that pulls the current member list into mailman and updates the
appropriate list.

I can handle writing the SQL query to pull the email but have no idea how to
get that into mailman. Where does Mailman save its lists? Any help in
scritping would be helpfull.

Thanks,
Mitchell

If you set * Privacy options... -> Sender filters ->
default_member_moderation to Yes, new members will be moderated by
default.

[Mailman-Users] Import list of users with moderated setting

2008-11-26 Thread Hung Phan

Hello, folks

We try to import a list with members that are moderated for not-send.
We look at options for list_members and not see one specifically for
preserve moderated setting. Is the setting stores somewhere and can be
backup? Going through 3000 users to set the moderated bit doesn't
sound fun :)

We using Mac OS 10.5

Thank you in advance for any advice,
