If you get no other response, see http://wiki.list.org/x/UIBE.

[Mailman-Users] Mailman support

2009-10-02 Thread Danny Morris
Hello,
We are using Mailman thru a provider but are having problems that their tech
support can not help us with so I hoping you might be able to.

We are a volunteer search and rescue group here in Virginia and have been
having a hard time with our callout system for searches. We decided to try a
mailing list but are stuck with this problem. Dispatch will send out an email
to the list that in turn will go out to all members (to cellphones via SMS as
well as their email) to check their availability. They will respond back to
dispatch with times etc. Where this breaks down is SMS. Email works fine but
the address that shows up on their cells is bouces-listse...@listserve.com Our
list is named k9al...@listserve.com and the reply to: address is set to be the
posters address.

Can you please help with this? Or maybe forward it to someone that can? Our
ability to contact group members in a timely and reliable fasion is hugely
important to what we do.

Thanks for any help you can offer,
Danny Morris

I don't understand why any address would show up as
bounces-exam...@example.com. Perhaps you meant
k9alert-boun...@example.com.

If so, see the FAQ at http://wiki.list.org/x/RoA9.

[Mailman-Users] Mailman Support for Attachments?

2009-03-18 Thread RCB I.T. Solutions Webmaster
We are looking into using Mailman to manage out mailing list but one key
necessity is the mailing list must support attachments, and we should be
able to restrict attachments so only certain types of files can be sent
though the mailing list. Is Mailman capable of this?

Hi,

I'm Khoi Truong, MIS coop-student at Uni-Select inc.

We would to like to have information concerning your sofware Mailman

Our Project:
We are currently planning to migrate AIX 4.3.3 ML.11 to AIX 5.2 based on

So, we were wandering if Mailman currently install on AIX 4.3.3 will work
as well on AIX 5.2 ?
If not, what can we do to arrange this matter ?
If we have to update our version, do you have some documentation about the
installation so we can analyse the ressource required by this upgrade ?

Our Company:
Uni-Select is an aftermarket automobile parts distributor and has become the
leading network of independently owned auto parts dealers in Canada and is
progressing in the United States with more than 1200 members.
Feel free to visit our web-site at www.uni-select.com
