The missing tags problem appears to be inconsistent. I do find some

It sounds like your problems may be related to case sensitivity. IMAP
keywords are case insensitive, but most servers try to use the
capitalization used when using the keyword the first time. There could
be bugs in both the IMAP server and MailMate related to this. Maybe you
could experiment a bit with that?

What does the PERMANENTFLAGS response look like for your server?

[MlMt] Confused about tags

2014-01-01 Thread John Cooper
When I select a group of messages, press t to open the tagging field,
and apply the tag mailmate, nothing is tagged. When I select any
message from the group, it has no tag. Nothing appears in the header,
and nothing appears when I press t.

The mailmate tag is set up in the Tags pane of Preferences. I've also
checked the account in the Activity Viewer to ensure that \* appears
in the list of IMAP keywords (per Benny's message yesterday).

When I select a message individually, I can apply the tag and it shows
up later. But I would like to be able to apply tags in bulk. Is there
something I'm not understanding?

Yes, I've made sure I entered the tag in Tags to be added and not
Tags to be removed.

Thanks,
John

[MlMt] icloud problem

2014-01-01 Thread Annamarie

Hi again,

So following directions to use Terminal it is clear that my iCloud
account can connect but that MM is not picking it up.

What to do? I'm in over my head-not a coder. I'd really like to pull in
my iCloud account.

Thanks

Maybe this will help. Edit your iCloud account setting from MailMate -
File menu and then select Edit IMAP account. Make you have the
following set to these values:

IMAP Server: p08-imap.mail.me.com
Port: 993

SMTP Server: smtp.me.com
Port: 587

In both cases, make sure you check Require SSL

Hope this helps.

Mel
