Re: [MlMt] the Magic Sig

I've always used snippet expansion for entering signatures. TextExpander
is my preferred app, but you can also use the system text replacement
(System Preferences → Keyboard → Text-tab).

Of course, you still have to remember to type in the shortcut, but
something like sig1 or sig2 soon becomes muscle memory.

[MlMt] the Magic Sig

2017-09-03 Thread Tracy Valleau

Thanks, Fredrik.

Yes, I knew that if I simply turned off sigs, that problem would go
away. That of course, leaves me to manually enter the sig each and every
time, which is hardly an optimal solution.

MailMate also remembers your selection per recipient, really
convenient.

Unless you're s ending to multiple recipients... However, I wonder if
that is actually the root of the problem. Perhaps that should be turned
off, if a sig is automatically present in the new, blank email.

Hi

I have a sig that is automatically entered when I choose to create a
new

email. (Default placement: top*; caret placement "above signature")

If I decide I don't want it, and delete it, and type some text in the
body, and THEN select a recipient, the sig automagically appears
_above_

my text again the instant I hit enter for the recipient.

What am I failing to understand here?

* top or bottom makes no difference.

Set "None" for signature in the "Signature" popup instead and it will
work.

MailMate also remembers your selection per recipient, really
convenient.
