Re: [MlMt] Fingers crossed for O365 OAUTH success

2021-01-21 Thread Kee Hinckley

I’m using DAVMail right now while IT and I work out some issues with
permissions. It does work well once I hurt past syncing my entire message
store. Unfortunately the rumor mill says my company will be disabling EWS
access sometime this year. But I’m hopeful that the OAUTH solution will work.
They’re just discussing what we thought might be a security issue, but is more
likely a configuration problem on their part.

Moin Kee,

I use [DavMail](http://davmail.sourceforge.net/) to access our company
Exchange. I have been using it for 1.5-2 years now and have never had
any problems with it. Unlike Exchange IMAP, the tags (Exchange
categories <-> IMAP keywords) also work here.

In GUI mode, DavMail is unfortunately a bit shaky (at least it was like
that >1Y ago), but in server mode it is super stable.

Re: [MlMt] Dragging Emails to Desktop for Long Term Achive

2021-01-21 Thread Zak McClellan

Mick-

This is customizable. Information may be found here:

- https://lists.freron.com/mailmate/2014-December/003494.html

I have mine set up this way:

Command: defaults write com.freron.MailMate MmFilenameFormatString
-string '${#date/(\S*) (\d\d):(\d\d):(\d\d).*/$1_$2-$3-$4/} -
[${from.name:${from.address}}] - ${subject}.eml'

Result: 2016-09-26_16-21-59 - [Zak] - Email Subject.eml

The only issue I have is the timezone used to label the file. Some
messages use the local time, some use UTC. It does mess up file
sorting.

Not sure about dragging and dropping in one step. I just tag the saved
email as 'saved-eml.'

Subject: [MlMt] Dragging Emails to Desktop for Long Term Achive
Message-ID:
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8"; Format="flowed"

Two archive questions:

#1. When dragging emails out of MailMate to local storage folder,
separate .eml files are created with todays created date, but not the
content created date. Hazy memrory -> This has been possible somehow
in

the past, maybe with other software. Is there a way with MailMate ?

#2. Is there a method to drag-copy-delete in one step to local storage
folder?

Thx Mick

For long term archival I now simply recommend dragging emails out of
MailMate to
save them on disk and then delete them in MailMate (and thereby on
the

IMAP server).
These are still going to be searchable using Spotlight and viewable
in

MailMate (but
not searchable in MailMate).by Benny Kjær Nielsen Tue, 17 Jan

[MlMt] Suddenly SpamSieve not processing new mail

2021-01-21 Thread Ken Pope
Have been using MM Version 1.13.2 (5673) & Big Sur 11.1 on my MacBook
Pro (156-inch, 2018) with SpamSieve, which worked wonderfully. However
late yesterday SpamSieve (version 2.9.42) stopped processing new mail.
Junk mail pours into my inbox and none of the new mail has a spam score.

I’ve made sure SpamSieve is checked in MM Security & that it has whole
disk access. Have tried turning everything off & on repeatedly, but
doesn’t help.

Any ideas about how I might fix this?

Thanks as always for your help.

Ken
