[MlMt] Message view options HTML and plaintext
Hi! 1. If in Preferences -> Viewer, I select "Prefer plain text", is there a way for individual emails I'm viewing to select to view the HTML part/switch to the HTML version? (There are always some messages with a malformed plaintext part.) 2. Is there a way to stop HTML emails from rendering attached/inline JPEG's etc? (Spam showing nagging stuff, even when it's marked as spam.) This seems to be the general way this spam show inline images: Content-Type: image/jpeg; name="image4.jpg" And in the text/html part: 3. Maybe an option for "Don't load attachments" for specific folders would be interesting? :-) Regards, :) -- Filip ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

I have a “todo” item which tells me to redesign how this works, because I thought it was mainly a design problem when I received bug reports similar to this. But I just realized that the current system actually has a major bug for new messages. I've fixed it and this should work much better in the next update (for “derived from context” users). There's likely to be a test release in a day or two. Fantastic! I feel MailMate has evolved beyond 2.0 now ... :) A small GUI issue, with a small/narrow compose window and long From-field, attachments overlap the From field: ![](cid:30D544C8-696C-423F-AAB6-1ABC85C1D171@luminated.net "MM-overlap.jpg") -- Filip___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

[MlMt] Read receipt?
Hi! It seems Mailmate honors/sends read-receipts? (I sent a test message to myself from a webmail, then when I had read it in Mailmate, a popup notification in my web browser told me my email was read.) I assume this is the same "request read receipt" or what it was called that one could set in Outlook etc? I assume it can be turned off? -- Filip ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
Re: [MlMt] Searching and reading thread of found email
Hi again! :) On 20 Apr 2018, at 15:26, Benny Kjær Nielsen wrote: When I search and find an interesting message, I'd like to read the other emails in that thread. You can click the Thread button and then remove the previous search item(s) by ⌥-clicking them or use the context sensitive menu to “Remove Search Item”. Not sure I understood completely, but I right-clicked and selected "Go to Source", that seems to do the trick, opens the thread in a new Mailmate window. [MlMt] Setting up OAuth2 based accounts
Hi! Setting up OAuth2 based IMAP accounts like GMail, Outlook.com, Yahoo etc., it's required to import it from Mail.app? (The OAuth2 checkbox doesn't show up if I just select "Add IMAP Account...") [MlMt] Copy IMAP folders
Hi! From a previous experience, I copied or moved an IMAP folder with subfolders earlier, but IIRC correctly the subfolders wasn't automatically copied (or I had some issues). (Think I tried drag, and that probably did move, not copy. It's a while back so I don't recall all details any longer.) So, migrating email/IMAP folders, from one account to another, _should_ I do it in MailMate at all? Should I do _one_ folder at a time? Or should I just use imapsync or similar software? (I'm not talking huge folders, probably <500 emails per folder.) Regards, -- Filip ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
[MlMt] Markdown Compose and HTML tags
It seems selecting Markdown in composer will not render HTML tags within the Markdown? (At least not text in my case. I need to use this, as using caret is too limited when mixing with text without spaces.) [MlMt] Content-type markup=markdown and Microsoft/Yahoo Mail filtering
Hi! I discovered something interesting with Outlook and Yahoo Mail's junk filtering. If I send to an Outlook.com address with markdown selected in MailMate's composer, it's treated as junk on the Microsoft end. And similar result with Yahoo Mail. It seems like the issue is this header. `Content-Type: text/plain; markup=markdown` I'm not sure why, it doesn't make sense to me. (Why should `markup=markdown` make a difference to the junk filter?) But if I select just Plain text in the Composer, and if I even add weird/utf-8 (Scandinavian) characters, then it works. The email is **not** treated as junk. This is the header then: `Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8; format=flowed` (I used the same SMTP server, which had no issues with blacklisting/reputation, SPF and DKIM properly verified. I can share details/headers privately if you should be interested.) (I don't need a debate around this, just thought my findings might be of interest for someone ... It led me to set Plain text as default when sending to some recipients.) -- Filip PS! Mailmate is so great! Thanks/mange takk Benny! (I wonder if it will work well for a non-tech person. I'll let my dad test it, he's not very satisfied with the newer layout etc in Mail.app.)___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

The status „read“ is nothing different as the IMAP keyword „seen“ and MM call this a Tag because the tag system in MM is based on IMAP keywords, as far as I understand. I'll change it to “Set Tag/Keyword” to make this a bit less mysterious. (There is, by the way, still missing an easy way to set colored flags.) Thanks guys! I didn't even know read status was a keyword like the tags.
