[MlMt] Mailbox synchnoization default value
I see that I can set the *Synchronization Schedule* within the context menu on a mailbox or source. One of the options is *Reset to Default*. I have seen that setting synchronization value on a parent mailbox does not affect the child mailboxes. I can also select multiple mailboxes and set the value of all of them at once. I have some questions regarding the *Reset to Default* option in that menu. - Is there a way to view or change the default value? - For an ordinary mailbox does it reset the value to the value of the parent or to a global default value. - If a parent mailbox, then what does this option do when applied to the source? [MlMt] Adjust automatic From address selection
The manual describes to following feature: *Note that the default From address is derived by MailMate based on either the message replied or the primary recipient for a new message. For new messages, the address is automatically updated when changing the To header except if an explicit choice has been made.* Is it possible to edit the rules for this? I have recently changed the default email I use with an organization and so I would like to change the rule associated with the addresses from that organization to the new From address. -Fritz___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
[MlMt] Mailbox selection string
I have a whole lot of mailboxes (over 400 across several accounts). When moving a message to a mailbox using the *Move to Mailbox…* command the box that pops up allows entry of a string. I find the string matching a bit strange. I can enter a proper substring or even an exact match of a mailbox name and that mailbox name can be extremely low in the list. There are many matches that merely contain the letters of the string scattered across several parts of the mailbox name. Is there any syntax for the search string that I can use to specify that I only want exact matches? Also, there is a real problem if I try to access a mailbox that has the same name as one of my accounts since the string matches the account name before the mailbox name. Re: [MlMt] Moving complete folder tree from one IMAP server to another
Thank you for the recommendation. I did get it to work. It ran quite slowly, but I suspect I was being throttled by Gmail. I did have a problem with a memory leak. So I had to kill it and restart it a couple of times. I was moving a 2GB mail account and it grew to over 25GB with less than 20% done. I found a recommendation to use the “-useuid” option which made it grow much more slowly (I still suspect a memory leak - just a much smaller one). I do agree it is a very powerful tool.
