Let me know if you do. It would be nice to have a hotkey to take a
selection of text and send it to Fantastical's window, as most people
write dates in natural language. :P

 Is there a way to create a key macro to select all of a thread and then

If you enable thread/conversation view in preferences (I don't remember
what it's called, and I'm not near my Mac), you should be able to
expand/collapse a thread with a key binding. If the thread is collapsed,
deleting it will delete the entire thread.

Re: [MlMt] Prevent line wrapping in plain text emails

An added followup: I've noticed that this happens with some
replies/threads and not others. In one thread the wrapping of the
lines in the quoted text changes as I resize the window, and in
another it remains fixed to the 72/73 limit. Not sure what the
difference is.

Sorry I can't help with your original request. But I think it's likely
that some messages are wrapping and others not based on the type of
e-mail replied to, that is HTML or text. I hesitate to speculate
further.

A bit off topic, but I have also been asked about what MailMate can do
to learn from the messages marked as “Not Junk” for future
incoming messages (without SpamSieve).

Not off-topic at all! I hesitated to ask this very thing.

Here is a suggestion which I haven't tested:

1. Create a smart mailbox showing all messages with the “Not Junk”
keyword.
2. Create a smart mailbox with all messages which *do not* have the
same sender as one of the “Not Junk” messages:

The condition in smart mailbox 2 looks like this:

From ▸ Address is not in “Not Junk mailbox” From ▸ Address

Finally, use that mailbox in the Security preferences pane for image
blocking. Feedback is welcome with respect to whether or not this
actually works :-)

Excellent! I don't even have to pay attention to the smart mailboxes,
just Junk and Not Junk as usual. Thanks, Benny!

Re: [MlMt] Suggested Keyboard Shortcuts

 1) When composing, add (and select for addition) the CC/BCC/Later box.

I'd find keyboard shortcuts for this useful as well.

 4) Filter by attribute. Right now, if I use the filter key, it starts me off
 filtering by From with the entry box selected, which is well and good, but
 requires significant mousing to set criteria. I'd love the ability
 to set something like:

   / = {
   f = ( FilterBy:, From );
   t = ( FilterBy:, To );
   s = ( FilterBy:, Subject );
   a = ( FilterBy:, Any Header );
   d = ( FilterBy:, Date );  g = ( FilterBy:,
 Tags/Keywords );
   };

Another +1. I'm actually surprised this isn't exposed already. Would be very
cool.

[MlMt] Inline images

Supposing I've blocked inline images, but not checked the option for
unless explicitly marked as junk. Does MM indiscriminately block all
images in the selected boxes?

I suppose I could just check the box and create a custom keyboard
shortcut for marking Not Junk. I like the idea of blocking images
unless I choose otherwise, but clicking Not Junk breaks my keyboard

[MlMt] Fastmail personalities and MailMate

2013-11-12 Thread Jeffrey Horn
Is there a way to add send from or send as address without adding a
new source? I just switched to fastmail, and would like to use
j...@jrhorn.me as my default return address.

I guess I'm just looking for a way to have extra aliases listed in the
compose window.

This is implemented in the fastmail web client as personalities.
