I did find a very old version elsewhere (V1.4) and I have removed that. The running one is 1.13.2 (5673) (from the ‘About MailMate’ menu item). Re: [MlMt] MailMate update denied
OK - let's try this again. You MUST have a copy of MailMate -somewhere- because you said you "start it up." If you don't know where it is, then once it is running, you can go to the dock, and control-click on the MM icon and choose "options" and then "reveal in finder". Once you can see it in the finder, quit it if it is running. Now hold down the command key and drag it (MailMate) to your desktop. Release all keys. You shold see MM on your desktop. Again, Hold down the command key and drag that MailMate to your /Applications folder. Let go of the keys. Double-click on the MM you just dragged to the /Applications folder. That will run the MM app. Now go to the MailMate menu, in the upper left corner of your screen, and choose "Check for Update." Give this a try, even if you don't understand why it might work. It's easy enough to check and see if it solves your problem. Good Luck. On 19 May 2022, at 15:03, David Ledger wrote: > On 5/19/22 20:59, Tracy Valleau wrote: >>> 1. Hi David, where is your copy of MailMate installed? You aren't running it from a mounted disk image volume by any chance, are you? Whenever I see "read-only filesystem", I immediately think of a mounted disk image. -Eric On 19 May 2022, at 18:03, David Ledger wrote: > On 5/19/22 20:59, Tracy Valleau wrote: >>> 1. Re: [MlMt] MailMate update denied
When I click on the Upgrade button, it shows the notice captured in the attached screen save file, saying that my installed version is a release, that the latest proper version is 5673 but I have installed 5876. It offers an option to downgrade to 5673 which I once tried, but didn’t like, so I reinstalled 5876. That’s been more or less ok for quite a while now (except that MM still doesn’t sync my mail on Outlook or Hotmail). However, since a day or so ago, MailMate has stopped showing newly sent file in the Sent folder. They appear in the All Messages folder, but not in Sent. How can that be fixed? Thanks for help.
