When a message is scheduled to be sent then MailMate adds a virtual
header to it in its internal database. When looking for emails to be
sent then MailMate looks for this header in “All Messages”, that is,
only junk/trash is ignored.

It is still sent even being in the Archive folder !!

What mechanism is MM using to know that the mail still has to be sent ?

If the email is scheduled to be sent then it shouldn't make a
difference that it is archived. It should only make a difference if
you move it to “Deleted Messages” or “Junk” (because they are
not part of “All Messages” which is where MailMate looks for
messages to be sent).

In other words, are you sure it's not sent?

Hello Benny,

This works like a charm ( finally understood the “From >> > Identity
exists” expression )

But I think that by working on this issue I came across a more

Hmm, I don't see any nice solution to this problem. A workaround is to
add a rule to your Archive mailbox which, e.g., based on “From >>
Identity exists” could move some of the emails back into “Sent
Messages”. (In practice, they would never be moved.)

[MlMt] Only archive mails which are not in sent mailbox

2018-08-23 Thread Marc ARC

Hi All,

I’m looking for a solution for the following issue:
When a thread is collapsed and the archive button is hit, all mails are
archived ( also those in the Sent mailbox )

So I’m looking for a way to change this behaviour.
Anybody any idea ?

Could a rule be setup so that before moving the mail ?
Kind of :
- if containing mail box contains “sent” don’t move
or
- only move when containing mailbox contains “inbox”

Thanks in advance,

Marc
