Are you saying MailMate chooses a sending address for me based on which address I’ve previously used to mail a given recipient? Yes, it is briefly described [here](http://manual.mailmate-app.com/compose#identities). It is based on the messages in your “Sent Messages” mailbox. Choosing a default account in the Composer preferences pane only prevents MailMate from trying to guess an account for messages to unknown recipients. If you want to change the sending address for a given recipient then you simply do that for a single message and then the next time the guess is going to be correct. There is currently no way to change this behavior other than changing which messages are part of the “Sent Messages” mailbox. Let me know if that was not clear. -- Benny ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com http://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

How can I set MailMate to always use bb...@domain.com ? I would expect it to work if you have set the account as the default account in the Composer preferences pane. If you have done that then we should probably debug off list. I'll need your `.plist` files in this folder: ~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/ (Setting a default account does not prevent MailMate from changing the address when you enter a recipient if you have sent emails to the recipient in the past.) -- Benny ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com http://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
[MlMt] Setting up default address for new messages
Hi, I'm trying something new (for me) using MailMate together gmail. I have an gmail account aa...@gmail.com which I use to handle email for different domain bb...@domain.com For this account I'm using +-addresses, so I have b...@domain.com, b...@domain.com etc. So i've set up the account with Email addresses: bb...@domain.com, b...@domain.com, b...@domain.com, aa...@gmail.com Address pattern: b\+.*@domain.com My problem is that when I create a new message MailMate uses aa...@gmail.com as the default sender, I can change it in the composer window but sooner or later I will forget this. How can I set MailMate to always use bb...@domain.com ? ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com http://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
