Explicitly synchronizing does not take mailboxes online. But they shouldn't
have gone offline without some kind of error having been presented to the user
first (or the user taking them explicitly offline). Older releases would often
do this without notifying the user, but (in theory) that shouldn't happen any
longer. In other words, let me know if it happens again :)

(Yes, this could certainly work better, but it's mainly a problem for
unstable/buggy IMAP accounts.)

Thanks Benny, indeed my 2 Deleted Messages submailboxes (2 separate
accounts) were offline for 20 months (the main Deleted Messages mailbox
did not indicate Offline, so I did not check the status of the sub
mailboxes). Any idea why these 2 mailboxes (and no the others) went
offline (and remained offline when I synchronised the 2 sources, which I
did fairly recently)?

This suggests one of my settings related to deletion in Mailmate is
not correct. Any idea?

Make sure all mailboxes are online under Sources in the mailbox list.
It sounds like your mailbox for deleted messages might be offline (and
then MailMate cannot synchronize the move).

Could it be that Preside actually deletes immediately whereas Mailmate
moves the message to deleted messages mailbox?
