Last official statement we saw was, that it's being tracked internally as
DOP-1045

However, we'd be interested in the current state regarding this as well.

Does dovecot handle smtputf8?
Last articles regarding this are several years old.
Anything changed?

Re: [mailop] outlook.com 421 try again later S77719

2023-10-11 Thread Kevin Kelker via mailop
Hi List,

was about to write the same just when Andreas' mail popped up.
Also noticing an increasing amount of mails towards Microsoft getting deferred
with
451 4.7.500 Server busy. Please try again later from [x.x.x.x]. (S77719)

We see this happening for different from-domains as well for different
sender-IPs since about 0300 UTC and have also reports
of other ISP having the same issue. We are using their SNDS and none of the
sender-IPs are flagged on their side.

Maybe someone from MS could take a look into this as our queues are piling up.

Best
Kevin

Hello all,

since a few hours we have problems with sending to Microsoft. We get hundreds
of messages like in the subject with the reference to S77719. Also colleagues
from other companies in germany are seeing the same in their logs. All mails
that are blocked here are from Microsoft customers, but they are redirected
through our servers.

Trying to unblock the IP e.g. via https://sender.office.com/ shows that the IPs
are not blocked.

Anybody have any idea?

Thanks a lot

Re: [mailop] Delivery and DNS issues for Microsoft / m365

2022-07-06 Thread Kevin Kelker via mailop
Hey Dan,

we can confirm both the lookup fails and the ATTR2 errors.
Looking back in the logs, we start seeing the lookup fails since about 08:04
UTC.

Betreff: [mailop] Delivery and DNS issues for Microsoft / m365

Hi,

We're seeing a lot of DNS errors for *.mail.protection.outlook.com at
the moment. NS lookup for mail.protection.outlook.com resolves to two
hostnames that in turn resolve to the same IP. What IP they both
resolves to varies over time, and one or more of those IPs doesn't
respond at all on port 53, so whenever the non working IP is cached we
can't lookup MX records for m365 customers for a while. The DNS servers
we can reach also don't support edns or qname minimization...

And when DNS doesn't fail we have a lot of deliveries respond with:

Temporary server error. Please try again later ATTR2
[GV0CHE01FT017.eop-che01.prod.protection.outlook.com

I'm assuming we're not the only ones seeing these problems at the moment?

https://portal.office.com/servicestatus lists issues with outlook.com
but the description there doesn't seem to fit what I'm seeing.
