Re: [mailop] Email connection timeouts from Proofpoint (67.231.157.0/24) to my Aussie Broadband static IP (mx1.imrryr.org[144.6.86.210])
Hi, I think it's not an email issue but a routing one. Zayo in Sydney shows: ? 67.231.157.0/24B 170120 4294967294 38195 19551 22843 I unverified >203.153.18.37 ?B 170120 3491 19551 22843 I unverified >64.125.28.18 64.125.28.50 AussieBB in Hawthorn shows: Advertised IPv4 Unicast paths to peers (in unique update groups): 61.245.147.114 19551 26211 209 3356 1299 19551 22843 It's not wrong, but it's weird. AussieBB's router in LA has some decent routes to Proofpoint over Arelion and Cogent but doesn't advertise them to peers :( Best of luck, Mike ___ mailop mailing list mailop@mailop.org https://list.mailop.org/listinfo/mailop
Re: [mailop] Recommendation for inbox provider?
Hi, +1 for Fastmail from me. One of my family members uses Mail.de - so far, so good with them. Some friends of mine use ProtonMail. I'm not happy with the homogenisation of email service. We've got to keep the bigger players honest :) Kind regards, Mike ___ mailop mailing list mailop@mailop.org https://list.mailop.org/listinfo/mailop
Re: [mailop] So how do you actually manage to send mails to outlook/hotmail?
Hi Marcus, Is this mail ending up in spam folders or never appearing to your correspondents at all? It helps a lot if you can get your correspondents to mark the emails from you as "not spam" in their apps. You might learn some additional information if you can get some to send back the headers. If your correspondent opens a ticket with MS and says "I want to get email from Marcus and it goes into spam and I don't think it should", they may put mitigation in for you. It has less effect if you are the one opening the ticket though. Best of luck, Mike ___ mailop mailing list mailop@mailop.org https://list.mailop.org/listinfo/mailop

[mailop] Comcast contact
Hi, Do we have any readers from Comcast? I opened a ticket with the abuse desk on the 7th about some unwanted traffic and I've heard nothing. Kind regards, Mike ___ mailop mailing list mailop@mailop.org https://list.mailop.org/listinfo/mailop
