Hi all Those of you who posted in reply to Vittorio’s message about the reprehensible - there is no other polite term for it in English - behaviour of a representative of the UCEPROTECT DNSBL will probably have realised that Simon, Patrick and I put the thread on ‘hold’.
We’ve had several discussions between us about the specific issue of UCEPROTECT, their behaviour, and the concurrent discussion on the mailop list. Some of the replies that were held for moderation were intemperate in their language and would only serve to further inflame discussions on the issue, which we feel would not be productive. We also believe that to further discuss the non-operational issues at hand here is treading a fine line in terms of being off-charter for the mailing list. As a result: 1. The thread will remain moderated. Please do not reply further or your message(s) may be discarded. 2. We will review, and _may_ release, a small number of replies that were held for moderation if we feel the messages would be useful. Alternatively we might compile a single reply with quoted text, if we feel that would be better. 3. The remaining messages in the moderation queue will be discarded without further reply. 4. Any list members who are users/customers of UCEPROTECT should review the initial post and the link it contains and decide their own course of action. For the record, only twice in the history of the mailop list have we had to put in a moderation rule for something - both triggered by the same source. Here’s hoping we don’t need any more in future! Thanks, as always, for your participation on mailop.
