Re: [mailop] Barracuda IP listings

2019-06-18 Thread Erwin via mailop
Hi,

I asked around and gather that they are aware and actively working on resolving
this issue.

Disclaimers as needed (not my team, code, and not an official statement)

Dunno. Major portions of employer's network seem to be listed now. And
transactional email to me from noted spammers like Paypal are tagged. Alas,
Barracuda seems to have wandered off the path into the weeds and is puking its
guts.

I've had to remove Barracuda from my own server's BL check list, as half the
legit email is now marked as spam.

I’m seeing reports from a number of folks as well. One person said they got a
response from Barracuda that this “appeared to be an old listing.” It’s unclear
if they meant an old listing resurrected or they thought it was something no
one had noticed before now.

I made contact with their support folks over on Twitter. They’re going to pass
the information I provided over to the correct team. Meanwhile, they said send
mail with contact information and the listed IPs over to int...@barracuda.com.

I had the same issue yesterday and a smaller amount over the weekend. We
don't normally have any listings but suddenly 70ish?

The ones from the weekend, I went through the normal process to remove them
and nothing has happened yet when they're normally removed the next day.
