If you are using MG Studio then there is a section called 'Define Geometry
Properties...' as below.
You need to select the table with X, Y columns and tick Geometry.
In your Access dataabse it is also a good idea to make sure the X,Y columns
are the correct data type. I use long or single.

Yes, I hadn't modified the php.ini. I finally figured out the issue was with
the imagecreatefrompng() function. It will not work without the GD being
enabled in the INI.

It's been a while since I've used the Maestro interface, but you have to set
the X/Y columns to be your geometry columns somehow.

Subject: [mapguide-users] Re: An exception occurred in FDO component

Hi,

I want to link an Access table as the data source of layer. I want to use
the database rather than SHP file because I want to realize when I update
the database, the updated information can be show on the map. (Such as added
a point on website, all information as well as the coordinates is saved in
database.)

The table structure contains the attribute of
ID, X,Y, Type, and Location. only this one table right now.

I can successfully link to the shp file and got map layers well. Because of
the data synchronization I want to change it link to database directly but
not sure it's useful.

The error message shows:" An exception occurred in FDO component. Property
'Geometry' from class 'Default:test1' has no database mapping "

Thank you all.

Yes I am using gdal.
I have the whole UK mapped out in 20km squares in Tiff format.

Would you use Zerowave manually or can you set it up to kill MG on it's own?

I am running MGOS 2.02 with .NET and IIS5 and the system runs smoothly most
of the time. At the moment I am getting a lot of errors as below and MG
crashes then when restarting MG just hangs and I have to restart the server.

I know there are memory leak issues with this version but have been
reluctant to upgrade because it would be a mammoth task.

Is the measure tool to blame and is there anything I can do other than
upgrade?
Has anyone created their own measure tool?

Any help or advice is welcome.
