Re: [mapguide-users] Login issue on MapGuide Site Administrator

2012-11-14 Thread jerto
Hi Jackie,

Thanks for the tip.

Unfortunately it doesn't work in interactive mode.
And I still have no log to find out what goes wrong.

I've never faced an issue when I had no log to try and identify the problem.
So I guess reinstalling is the only option I have.

[mapguide-users] Exporting Query results

2012-11-14 Thread keco
I'm using windows 2008 server, MGOS 2.4 and Maestro 5.0b4, with IIS/PHP.

Could anybody tell me how to add 'copy results to clipboard' or 'export
results to csv' functionality to the Fusion Query widget? This would be an
extremely useful feature. Any suggestions welcome.

I'm a newbie..

Thanks,

[mapguide-users] GDAL - MapImage with stripes

2012-11-14 Thread Gunter Becker
Hi,

I'm trying to produce large high quality plots with the GetMapImage-methode.
When using the GDAL Raster Provider I get stripes on my image. Source files
are either 8 bit or 24 bit. It doesn't matter if it is a raster
FeatureSource of type 'single' or 'composite'. I've tested with different
raster output formats (PNG/PNG8/JPG) but get always the same result like in
this image:

It depends on scale and location where these stripes occur in the image.

I've set up serverconfig.ini to this settings (Rendering Service):

I think the other settings under 'Rendering Servcie' just takes affect when
using raster reprojection.
Smaller images looks great but when increasing width and height or dpi then
this issue also increases.

Are there any other settings I can adjust? Seems to me that it belongs to a
memory problem. Does the GDAL Provider mybe has a memory limit?

I am using MGOS 2.4 (FDO 3.7)

Thanks, Gunter

[mapguide-users] MG 2.4: QuickPlot, Size of MapCapturer (printSize, pageSize)

Hi list,

I can't find the size of the mapCapturer (the grey box which appears when
enableing the advanced options). Is there a way to control it? Because the
PlotAsPDF.php uses the size as well to generate the map-Image for the PDF.
In my case I have different layouts which need different extends.
Where can I find the size?

[mapguide-users] .NET SDF Loader

2012-11-14 Thread Mika M Lehtonen

Hi,
I am mapping options for loading SDFs into MapGuide Enterprise 2011. The
environment is web and it is .NET that is we have .NET web application
which takes sdfs from certain folder and loads them into MGE 2011.
For historical reasons, this has been done with Studio.Load API. Studio
has been only available as 32-bit version which has caused problems.
Also using studio dlls in our app has caused several problems mainly
because of missing dependencies.

What would be the options nowadays for loading SDFs into MGE2011 and
building resources needed on .NET?

and i am trying to do Spatial Filter in a Circle. for this purpose
1) I created a circle(Done.but there is no direct method for creating a
circle so i created a circle through MgGeometryFactory.CreateCurvePolygon
and i also checked it is closed . and this method reture MgCurvePolygon )

2) putting the condition.(Done like
 MgCurvePolygon CurvePolygon = this.CreatePolygonFromGeomText(data);
 MgGeometry geometry =
(MgGeometry)CurvePolygon.Transform(csInverseTransform);
 queryOptions.SetSpatialFilter(featureGeometry,
geometry,MgFeatureSpatialOperations.Intersects);)

3) Accessing the Selected Feature (Getting error in this particular line)
 MgFeatureReader featureReader = featureService.SelectFeatures(resId,

But same thing i am doing in MgPolygon than it is working . i don't know
whether this option(Spatial filter in MgCurvePolygon ) is there or not. if
not than what else i can do.

isn't it for curve storage in sql spatial?.let me once again explain my
issue. in our case sql stores parcel information.

1.User creates a circle on the map using tool given on the mapviewer
2.Internally i create 2 arcs By MgArcSegment and then merge it into a
MgCurveSegmentCollection than create MgCurveRing and than create
MgCurvePolygon circle and put it on separate.
3.Now the requirement is to find out which parcels come within the circle

i have been able to do this when user creates a polygon or rectangle but
when using circle i get the error.

*once again i want to say, this (Creating a polygon or rectangle or
MgCurvePolygon ) is i am doing in mapguide and not storing in sql server .*

created via the mapguide administrator, aliases allow you to define a

you can then simply drop files into and then reference in feature source

Re: [mapguide-users] Getting error "Geometry Conversion error" when doing SpatialFilter in MgCurvePolygon

2012-11-14 Thread Jackie Ng
When they say curves aren't supported in SQL Server 2008, it's not storing
curve geometries in tables, it's also recognition of curves for the purpose
of testing spatial filters and predicates.

So what you'd do in such cases is approximate the circle. That's what the
circle tool in the AJAX viewer does. You look at the WKT it sends back up,
it's not a CURVEPOLYGON, it's a POLYGON with a number of line string
segments to approximate the curves.

You can see in this diff how the AJAX viewer constructs the WKT for an
approximated circle: http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/changeset/6076
