Re: [mapguide-users] Select Within Fusion widget not triggering event

2014-10-03 Thread GordonL
Sorry Gang, this is actually only a bug with AIMS 2015 and not MapGuide 2.6.

Testing with Sheboygan dataset works fine in MGOS 2.6 but can't select
within buffer in AIMS 2015 and retrieve properties.

Re: [mapguide-users] Select Within Fusion widget not triggering event

2014-10-02 Thread GordonL
Update, this only occurs with a new Buffer object from the Buffer widget. If
I select within an existing object, the features are selected, but not with
the new Buffer features for some reason. It selects items on the map, but
does not update the Selection Panel.

[mapguide-users] Select Within Fusion widget not triggering event

2014-10-02 Thread GordonL
Hi All,
I have an event set to the Fusion.Event.MAP_SELECTION_ON

Works great on selection manually, but the SELECT WITHIN widget does not
fire this.

 I am scouring the SelectwithinPanel.templ to find the switch to "true" or
something to ensure it triggers the selection event.

Any guidance where to look?

Sorry I don't know how to find out. I looked at the log files on the
MapGuide Site Administrator and searched for information on the IIS

I'm a newby at all things web (but eager to learn).. Could you tell me
where to look, please?

Many thanks,

Re: [mapguide-users] 'Select Within' widget error in Fusion

2012-10-12 Thread keco
Hi,

I added the SelectWithin widget to the toolbar from the dropdown menu
(without changing any of the settings) in the Flexible Layout resource form
in Maestro. I used the slate template from the Sheboygan mgp for my web
layout.

This is the result on my 'demo' map. If you try SelectWithin (Lochs inside
Local Authority) it gives you an error:
http://54.247.86.56/mapguide/fusion/templates/mapguide/slate/index.html?ApplicationDefinition=Library://Map%20Setup/SW_KECO.ApplicationDefinition

I also added the widget to one of the Sheboygan examples (This is the
template I used for my demo map), also giving an error:
http://54.247.86.56/mapguide/fusion/templates/mapguide/slate/index.html?ApplicationDefinition=Library://Samples/Sheboygan/FlexibleLayouts/Slate.ApplicationDefinition

Many thanks for your help.

[mapguide-users] 'Select Within' widget error in Fusion

2012-10-11 Thread Ilona Kemeling
All,

I use:

MGOS 2.4

MG Maestro 5.4b

Apache server/PHP

On a Windows 7 pc

But same occurs on

MGOS 2.4

MG Maestro 5.4b

IIS/PHP

On a Windows 2008 server

I keep getting this error message when I try to use the Select Within widget
in fusion map.

When I use a standard layout (not fusion), the Select Within widget works
fine, with exactly the same layers/map definition.

Any help/suggestions are welcome!

Ilona

[mapguide-users] Select Within with polygons

2012-02-10 Thread von Wartburg, Jan BKSD
Hi all,
In my SDF feature source there are round polygons that were created from
polylines with curved segments. They are normally selectable in the AJAX
viewer, but if I want to use the Select Within command with one of these
polygons, there is no result even if there are elements on the chosen layer
within the polygon.
The selection (setselection.php) is empty.
My only solution so far is to convert those polylines to polylines with linear
segments before exporting the objects to the SDF.
Is this a bug of MGOS 2.2? Has anyone encountered the same problem and found a
more elegant solution than me?

Hi Gordon,

I know you did not mean it but I will use this opportunity to raise the issue
anyway.

About displaying "non-visible layers", in legend.

I think that this feature is missing in the "Basic Layout",
A dynamic option to determent if we wont to display ""non-visible layers" - in
legend.

[mapguide-users] Select Within

2011-03-09 Thread GordonL
In Fusion, the SelectWithinPanel.templ selects all selectable layers AND
non-visible layers. How can we exclude the non-visible layers - if you have
lots of layers, this is a very confusing to the user...

function FillLayerList()
{
var list = document.getElementById("layers");
var listNames = document.getElementById("layerNames");
list.options.length = 0;
var map = GetParent().Fusion.getMapByName(mapName);
var layers = map.aMaps[0].getSelectableLayers();
if(layers.length > 0) {
  for(var i = 0; i < layers.length; i++) {
var layer = layers[i];
list.options[i] = new Option(layer.legendLabel != ""?
layer.legendLabel: layer.layerName);
if (i == 0) list.options[0].selected = true;
listNames.options[i] = new Option(layer.layerName);
  }
} else {
  list.options[0] = new Option("__#BUFFERNOLAYER#__");
}
document.getElementById("Done").disabled = layers.length == 0;
}

Re: [mapguide-users] Select Within and ODBC feature source

2009-05-26 Thread Plantech

I noticed the same thing in MGE 2010 and made an inquiry to the Autodesk MGE
discussion forum. Here is my observation.

I've come across problems with selecting objects spatially with Mapguide
Enterprise. It seems that when selecting objects (points) by buffer,
radius, or polygon, it depends on the type of data source being used. For
spatial databases (sdf, shp) the selection area returns the correct points
within the criteria. However, if I use mapped points from an ODBC
connection (Acess mdb or SQL 2000), the selected points are those contained
with a bounding box of the selection area - thus additional points outside
of the border of the selection area are returned based on the bounding box
limits of the border. This makes the use of non-spatial ODBC data points
(data elements with x, y columns) almost worthless for selection by spatial
means. It appears that the spatial selection only works correctly with
spatial entities. Is this correct. Are there any other ways to accomplish
this with x,y databases?

Dave Wilson replied that unfortunately this appears to be a bug.

Hope it gets fixed soon as this seems a major problem in multiple selection
approaches.

Re: [mapguide-users] select within Buffer layer

2007-12-17 Thread Kenneth, GEOGRAF A/S

I have not used the Selection procedures extensively.
I find them usefull only for handling selections that are displayed to
the user.

When you create the buffer item, you can retrieve the WKT for the buffer
item.
With this WKT, you can make a regular selection directly on the
featuresource.
Depending on the provider, you can issue selects with operators "within"
and "intersects".

I use this extensively myself, and I know it works reliably.
