It seems that the Thames-less copy shown in the article:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/2009/sep/17/london-new-tube-map-thames
hast not (yet?) reached TfLs internet pages:
http://www.tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/1106.aspx
where today (2009-09-21) all maps still (or again ?) have the river
Thames on it.

So if anybody in London has a paper copy without Thames and could send
it to me for my special tube network maps collection, I would be
extremely thankful.

Someone please let me know how I, as a North Carolina resident, can
vote for Mayor Boris Johnson!

Of course the Thames should be on the Tube Map! I would be completely
discombobulated without that vital point of reference (as opposed to
my usual state of subtotal discombobulation). Even though the Tube Map
is not spatially accurate, the Thames still provides an invaluable
point of reference for those of us who don't live and work there, but
who love to visit.

The London Daily Telegraph ( http://www.telegraph.co.uk ) is reporting
today that Mayor Boris Johnson has ordered London Transport to re-
instate the River Thames on the Tube Map.
