MI MapInfo and Oracle 8i
Hi everyone, I'll start off by saying thanks the people on this list for all the support I've received to date. You've all been a great help! I have some other elementary questions but this time it's about MapInfo and Oracle 8i. 1. If I'm creating graphical data with another GIS program and store it in Oracle spatial (true arcs included), would I be able to read this data with MapInfo Pro? 2. If I choose to store MapInfo data in Oracle 8i will I loose some functionality or speed? Bulk Import of MID\MIF files
Is there a way to import multiple MID/MIF files at one time? I have tried the universal translator but it will not let me set the destination file to .tab. I also tried to hold down the shift or control key in the Table>Import section but I cannot select more than one file. Any Suggestions?? Opening MI 6.0 workspaces w Proviewer
Hi everyone, I've got a wee bit of a problem that I hope someone could help me with. I created a workspace using MI 6.0 but cannot open it with Proviewer 5.5. Is this because 6.0 writes printer setup info to the workspace? Is there some kind of a work-around. Should I re-install MI 5.5 on my machine into another folder and use it for creating workspaces for proviewer??? MI Workspace Prob...
Ever since the "I Love You" virus hit us, some of our workspaces are not opening. We are getting messages like... Workspacename.wor.36) Variable or field ID not defined. Could this be related to the virus somehow? Or could it be that in restoring our systems something was changed? Any Thoughts??? MI Center X Y in meters
I have a polygon table that I want to get the center X and Y's from. I've been somewhat successful doing this in a query. However, the resulting columns are in Lat, Long. I would prefer to have them in meters. Any Suggestions??? MI Importing DXF
Importing a DXF file from anyone of our network servers take about 20 times longer than importing the same file from off my hard drive. The server seems to be working efficiently in all other respects. I have also imported the same file off the network using another computer and had the same results. Could this problem be with MapInfo or is it more probable that it has something to do with the network???
