Hi all. Thanks for all the replies to my query about the Registry Editor. It is called "regedit.exe" and is located in the \windows directory. MI v5.5 sets the registry to use 24 bit colour, but I did not know that till later. The MI registry entry is in My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MapInfo\MapInfo\Common and is a string key called UseTrueColor. It has a value of 1 (on).
