save your table using "save as copy...", the dialog will prompt for a new name for the copy and the "projection"button will allow you to assign any metric projection like UTM instead of Lat/long. I would prefer to have them in meters. When YOUR.TAB at desired coordinate system is open, please open Mapbasic window. Type "Set coordsys table YOUR" and close Mapbasic window. After that you can extract centroidX or centroidY on desired coordnates. MI Center X Y in meters
I have a polygon table that I want to get the center X and Y's from. I've been somewhat successful doing this in a query. However, the resulting columns are in Lat, Long. I would prefer to have them in meters. Any Suggestions???
