Welcome to the list!

as regards the North Arrow have a look in some of the available symbols,
there's a few in there
Also on the subject of templates you could set up a standard border etc in a
separate layer and re-use that every time

There is quite a nice little wingding, a black circle encasing with a white
arrow pointing up.

Bonjour Claude... (je présume que tu parles francais)

Voila comment tu peux faire..

1) Va dans le layout ou tu désires mettre un north arrow.
2)Clique sur la petite punaise bleue avec un point d'intérrogation
3)Dans le dialogue  Police sélectionne "MapInfo Arrows" et prend une
grosseur de 48 (par exemple).
4)Dans Symbol sélectionne le North Arrows désiré.

5)Finalement Click sur la punaise sans point d'intérogation puis va cliquer
l'emplacement voulu.
6)Un north arrow va apparaitre.
