If you have any of the products like superprint, you can choose to print to 
an image at whatever resolution you choose - directly from word/ whatever. 
 Saves a lot of messing about.

I find that creating text in Photoshop then saving as tiff or whatever
produces not only nice contolled text, but you can develop text blocks
similar to rubber stamp which can be added to your layout as and when you
would use such items, such as draft, confidential, copyright etc
