Objet : MI Automatic Column Update

Does anyone know of a way to automatically update a
 column in MapInfo?
What I am doing is connecting to an Access database
via the power of ODBC. I want to combine the values of
three fields to make a unique ID. e.g. 1 N50 SE
 would become 1N50SE etc.

I tried doing it in Access, and it did not like it at
 all.

 Any Ideas?

 Grant

Use Table Update Column

Fill out the relevant details in the dialogue box (the column to update will
obviously be the one you want the data stored in you may need to create
this column through table maintenance)

Then click on the Assist button.

Use the following:

Column1 + Column2 + Column3

Don't forget to save the table.

Hope this works,

Jo
