MI-L updating columns
Hello all, I had a problem last week with updating columns of a table and was able to correct it by having the two columns in the same format - character/float - thanks to all who replied! Now mapinfo won't update 2 tables for me, both have matching column formats with the files I want to take the data from. It worked for about 8 files but won't work for these two. Any any ideas? cheers, Suzanne. MI-L Project pints onto polylines
Hello all, I have a series of polylines and individual points which are located in the vicinity of these polylines. I can use a SELECT clause with geographic operators to obtain all polylines within a certain distance of the points. However I want to project these points at right angles onto the nearest polyline, with the result that the point co-ordinates are changed to those of a point on the actual polyline. Can anyone help me with this ? Any info. appreciated. MI-L Test -- Please ignore
It's quiet out on MapInfo-L today. Too quiet. It was the kind of quiet you get just after something goes bump in the night... So this little message has been sent out to investigate. Hopefully it won't end up as a small pile of bleaching bits in some far-flung wasteland in cyberspace. But if this one doesn't make it, we have bigger messages we can send out after it. - List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
MI-L map shape changes in export
This is probably a dumb question, but does anyone know why a map shape changes when I convert a map info table to dwg/dxf? It almost looks like a different projection or something. Any clues? Thanks! Adam

MI-L Update Column Query
I am unable to update a column for an object in one table with a count of the number of intersecting objects in another table. I have done this before without a problem. Only thing different I can find is that I am using lat/long coordinates for the first time. Any assistance would be appreciated. MI-L textpad and workspace
Hi everyone, I have made a series of workspaces and I want to add a few tables to all of them. I edited them in textpad to save time. The workspace opens with all the tables I want but the layout opens up with no view. Is there a way of making the layout window to have what I want in it. MI-L Australian MR signs symbols
Hi all Does any one know where I might be able to acquire a set of Australian standard type road signage symbols I can use in MI. Also other symbol types for drainage structures etc would come in handy. I guess if I could get some general ones from the US or elsewhere I could modify them to suit if non others are available. Geological Symbols - From a previous mapinfo-l answered by J. Harvie >> You can obtain Symbol Plotter (free) at northwoodtec.com, choose Vertical Mapper option (on left) and then choose Downloads (on right). It does include a full compliment of geological symbols. >> Best regards, Jakob ** Jakob Lanstorp [EMAIL PROTECTED] Developer Kampsax A/S - GSLhttp://www.kampsax.dk Authorized MapInfo Partner & Distributor in Denmark and Norway Address: Rugaardsvej 55, DK-5000 Odense C, Denmark Telephone: +45 6313-5000 Facsimile +45 6313-5090 ** Visit http://www.kortal.dk and see Denmark from above!
