You have lots of choices. First, select
record and press CTRL+A and the selected object will be in the middle of the
map window. Second, use sql or normal select tool or display the selection
table and then, it will be in the lookup table ( also known as a temporary
table ) so you can add this table’s map into the map window ( using layer
control ) then, rigt click to the map window view entire layer.Choose your
layer. And etc…

P.S/If you choose first, you should set
your zoom level before

Hi everybody,

I am using MI 8.0 and here is my question. Is there any easy
way to zoom into a selected record of a table. I know, it must be so easy, but
I don't find it even in the help book.

thanks in advance for your help.

RE: [MI-L] MapInfo setting/changing table Projections

2006-10-25 Thread Mehmet HINÇ
First be sure your mapinfo tables are geographic coordinated and their
coordinates are true and then use universal translator ( which is a small
tool coming with mapinfo ) to convert your mapinfo table to the Esri shape
or another file format... If your source mapinfo tables do not have a fixed
coordinated your datas will not be in the expected position...

P.S/ Please check again your table's projection... Map--> Options -->
Projection or table--> maintenance --> table structure...

Subject: [MI-L] MapInfo setting/changing table Projections

Hello List

I have received a vector file that was originally digitized in user
coordinates and then projected into geographic ones. When I open the table
in Mapinfo it registers where it should but if I bring it into another
program like ArcGIS or Micromine, it registers to the user coordinates and
the geographic coordinates go to "unknown". Is there anyway of "marking" the
table so the geographic coordinates are recognized and not the user ones??

Thanks

Tony
