-- Mappers

I have a small inconsequential job to do for some colleagues in the council, we have some garmin e-trex GPS things lying around in Highways, our countryside service has a project to create a series of routes for mountain bikes that will be promoted in a booklet and web site, Having just looked at a similar site in Northern Spain where they are allowing visitors to download files to load into these cheap hand held things for the routes they are promoting. I have been able to find some freeware to pull the route of the e-trex and convert it to what looks an xml/gml standard interchange format that some GPS users seem to be pushing. Does anyone out there know of some freeware which will convert the GPX exchange format into a common GIS format that will enable me to get the data as a polyline into Mapinfo, otherwise a collection of points would be a runner up, be this a tool to convert gpx to eOO or DXF or an mbx tool I am not worried as long as it can end up in a mapinfo map window... thanks.. and yes the budget is a bit slim so large budget solutions will be difficult to pursue
