One of this day, QGIS should be able to consume Google Maps, see [1]. However
I don't know if it will be in trunk ;)

[mapserver-users] [OGC] [WMS] getLegendGraphic request with GROUPCLASS and "SIZEUNITS meters" parameters

2009-04-21 Thread Jacolin Yves
Hello,

I ma using an OGC WMS webservice to get my legend with a GetLegendGraphic
request. For one layer I am using SIZEUNITS parameter set to "meters". In
this case, my legend icon does not appears (see file in this mail).

See mapfile here http://pastebin.com/f77313bc1

Is it a problem from my mapfile or a bug from MapServer (5.4.0 rc2)?

Thanks,

Y.

Sorry to Guillaume and Daniel :)

I built php5 and tested it: same problem. I realised that I stoped to test php
with command line ;) and indeed php -i | grep mapscript send same issue.

Daniel, I tried again to run ldconfig and it is now working!

The problem was resolved by removing the "build" file
in /etc/ld.so.conf/build containing "/usr/local/lib/" and adding this dir
directly in /etc/ld.so.conf ("include" command inside doesn't seems
working !)

Many thanks to all,

[mapserver-users] libgdal error with php/MapScript

2009-01-08 Thread Jacolin Yves
Hello,

I get an error when loading php_mapscript.so in my apache config.

Here is my config:
* Centos 4 (in an openvz system)
* PHP 4.3.9 (with GD 2.0.28)
* Apache 2
* GD 2.0.35
* AGG 2.4
* Mapserver 5.2.1
* geos 3.0.3
* gdal-ogr 1.6.0
* proj 4.6.1

MapServer configure:
./configure
--with-agg=/usr/local/src/build/agg-2.4
--with-postgis
--with-wmsclient --with-wfsclient
--with-geos --with-proj --with-gdal=/usr/local/bin/gdal-config
--with-ogr=/usr/local/bin/gdal-config
--with-php=/usr/include/php/
--with-freetype=/usr/bin/freetype-config --with-eppl --with-xpm=/usr/X11R6/lib/
--with-gd=/usr/local/ --with-python

GDAL-OGR configure:
./configure
--with-python
--with-pg=/usr/local/pgsql/bin/pg_config
--without-grass

After installing all dependance and set up php config to enable php_mapscript,
I try to look if php/mapscript is really enabled:
$ php -i | grep mapscript
give:
PHP Warning: Unknown(): Unable to load dynamic
library '/usr/lib/php4/php_mapscript.so' - libgdal.so.1: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0
/etc/php.d/mapscript.ini

There is no mapscript table in phpinfo() function.

Any tips to find a solution?

Thanks in advance.

[mapserver-users] Parameters in memory

2008-08-29 Thread Jacolin Yves
Hi list,

I have a strange issue using mapserv. I think this will be difficult to
reproduced, but I try asking in the list ;)

I am using mapserver as WMS service with Openlayers and tilecache. We are
moving our application to the release 2 and so we are cleaning the spatial
configuration. For example, we changed the SHAPEPATH parameter
from /var/local/cartoweb/transparens_immo/cres to /var/local/spatial/.

This is a very good example because my problem come from this changing. So we
moved spatial data in this new directory and changed SHAPEPATH in the
mapfile. This change works for almost all layers. I don't know why, some
layers don't want to use the new SHAPEPATH and I get this kind of error when
requesting WMS layer (here named ortho_92):

http://schemas.opengis.net/wms/1.1.1/exception_1_1_1.dtd";>

msDrawMap(): Image handling error. Failed to draw layer named
'ortho_92'.
msDrawRaster(): Unable to access file.
(/var/local/cartoweb/transparens_immo/cres/Referentiel/Bd_Ortho/92/92-2003-0595-2415-LA2E-C07.ecw)

>>>

Is this something known? I am using mapserver 4.10.1 on Debian Etch. Mapserver
come from C2C repository. thanks for your help.

Y.

Re: [mapserver-users] build mapserver 5.2.0 with proj 4.6.0

2008-08-19 Thread Jacolin Yves
Hi Guillaume,

This is a fresh system install from a "virtual private server" under OpenVZ, I
tried to remove all packetage with apt-get remove, and nothing is removed ;)

Furthermore I setup the option --with-proj which link to /usr/local/lib where
libproj is installed (by myself).

I built all main dependance (proj, gdal, geos, libecw and agg).

It seems that configure script test pj_transform in proj and if this is not
present, think it is an old proj release. I ma going to check in the proj ML
to know more about this.

[mapserver-users] build mapserver 5.2.0 with proj 4.6.0

2008-08-19 Thread Jacolin Yves
Hello,

I am trying to build mapserver 5.2.0 with proj-4.6.0. The ./configure script
tells me : "configure: error: This version of PROJ is too old. PROJ4.4.2 or
later is required." , here is the configure comande line:
./configure
--with-postgis
--with-wmsclient --with-wfsclient
--with-geos
--with-proj=/usr/local/
--with-gdal --with-ogr
--with-freetype=/usr/bin/freetype-config --with-eppl
--with-xpm=/usr/X11R6/lib/

--with-curl-config=/usr/bin/curl-config
--with-tiff --with-xml2-config=/usr/bin/xml2-config

Do you know how to resolv this?

Thanks

Hi,

You can try QGIS and the TextDelimitater Plugin using CSV file instead of
XLS's. Just split your latLong colunm into two differents columns.

Hi,
You could check the postgresql log (in /var/log/postgresql/) and see what is
the problem.

Re: [mapserver-users] Trouble compiling 5.0.2 with AGG on Centos 4

Hi Dominik,

You can try to run ldconfig to update your lib system database, and/or to
add --with-ogr parameter to ./configure (but it seems already done)

Hi,

You can use TILEINDEX:

LAYER
  NAME "geosignal_5k"
  GROUP geosignal
  STATUS ON
  TYPE RASTER
  TILEINDEX "Referentiel/geosignal/IDF/5k/index.shp"
  TILEITEM "Location"
  ...
END

GDAL-ogr could create the index shapefile with gdaltindex command.

Hi,

You have an option for shp2pgsql (-W I think) to tell shp2pgsql to convert
your data into this encoding:

-W Specify the character encoding of Shape's
 attribute column. (default : "ASCII")

Hi,

Did you try to convert you mapfile in UTF8 ?
Linux:
iconv -f latin1 -t utf8 -o final.map orginale.map
windows :
iconv -f latin1 -t utf8 < orginale.map > final.map

Re: [mapserver-users] WFS - DescribeFeatureType

2008-03-12 Thread Jacolin Yves
Hi,

Mapserver is a SLD server by default (i mean no extra configuration, no extra
build), just ask to mapserv cgi and you get it. The style is the one you
setup in your LAYER CLASS object. You can even change it and send it back to
mapserver to change the style of the LAYER.

This is what I do for a simple map export to define the new opacity of the
layer, opacity changed by my openLayer side.

2008-03-12 Thread Jacolin Yves
Hi,

With a geStyle resquest, you get something like this for the polygon layer :

 #7f

 #00

For a polyline layer:

 #00
 1

For a point layer:

   circle

   #c8

 5
