Hi :)
Ahah, i vaguely remember reading that note in his books.  perhaps we could have
something similarly short for other authors to use if they want to?  CC-by-SA
for when they find a better way to word it!

Re: [libreoffice-marketing] Re: [libreoffice-website] on the new download and donate page

Hi,

Goran Rakic wrote on 2013-04-12 21:32:

Great to hear this!

I am not sure if my proposal gives enough focus to donations compared to
the redirection as it is now.

I have no idea - I think it needs to be well balanced. We do see it
makes a big difference (the flow of donations continues today), so maybe
it's also an idea to improve the current "full page" to eliminate the
glitches. But after a long week of travelling, I'm a bit too tired to
think about it in detail. ;-)

If others agree, I would like to create a wiki page were we could list
some ideas and compare to what other free software projects are doing.

Thanks a lot - that'd be great! Sure, go on! ;)

Florian

[libreoffice-marketing] 4.0.2 DVDs are online - both the English NA-DVD and the German one

2013-04-13 Thread Kracked_P_P---webmaster

For those of you who want them, both the English NA-DVD and the German
DVD is now online on the DVD download page.

http://www.libreoffice.org/download/?type=box&version=4.0.2

This NA-DVD 4.0.2 DVD version is the first to have the Windows
"autorun.inf" added to it. Therefore, for the Windows users, upon
inserting it into the DVD reader, a dialog will pop up to ask if you
wish to "run" the DVD or open it for use in the file manager [i.e. My
Computer]. If you choose to "run" the DVD, your default browser will
open directly to the Install Page, for the convenience of the user.

Good weekend.
Never heard of this site/magazine, and I have been using Ubuntu
since 9.xx.

You've been missing out! I've been reading Full Circle from the
first issue. I don't think it's as well publicised as it should be,
though. I heard about it through the weekly community newsletter
from Ubuntu. --Jean

Well, I will read them.

The link shows parts 1-7, but the newest "issue" shows
LibreOffice Pt24.Intro to Math

Also, this issue states #71, so I have a few to read. I wish I
could download them and read on my tablet when I have to wait in
waiting rooms and in lines at the store.

Full Circle Magazine is available in PDF and ePub formats. Won't one
of them display on your tablet?

--Jean

I found their download icon [PDF]

But their display seems to not be in order of publication. I
downloaded, from left to right then the next row, and received some of
the 60's , 40's, 20's and single digit issue numbers. It seems that,
for me, the issues are in either a random order or sorted some way I
did not ask for. SO, I downloaded 25 of them, and was told to come
back "tomorrow" for some more.

update

Well, I found out my problem, I was looking at the wrong web site.

I was looking at
http://issuu.com/fullcirclemagazine
instead of at
http://fullcirclemagazine.org/downloads/

Well, now I have the entire issue "0 - beta" to "71" and the copulation
issues as well.

Now I will copy them to my tablet [cheap Android] and will have them
there when needed.
