Re: [libreoffice-marketing] MediaFire.com and Apache OO
3 Ara 2013 21:14 tarihinde Italo Vignoli italo.vign...@gmail.com yazdı: Hi Italo I tested MediaFire and it definitely sucks in comparison with DropBox, Google Drive and OwnCloud. It is so slow, and the client is huge in comparison with all the others (which I regularly use, so I can judge fairly well). I will write them in any case, and I will try to be gentle and sweet. Their software may be worse but they give 10Gigabytes(up to 50 via activities etc). I very often see public links from MF and also see files from MF appeared on the search results. From the data compete.com the have approximately over 4 million visits monthly. Lower than dropbox with a high acceleration in recent period. 4 to 10 same trend in Google Drive! (Dropbox and Samsung's afdiliation programme may be another reason they give 50 gigs space for a S series smartphone) For Alexa.com mf is world's 143th most visited site, where dropbox 113. But there is another questions. Personal visits or organic search engines. The latter is more important i guess MF may have greater score there as its users comes from the Rapidshare generation mostly public file share. Anyway they have great numbers :) Apache's move (if they had) seems smart for me. The point is to be more inclusive in all available mainstream channels. (Of the topic, do we have TDF or LibreOffice in linked.in can be focused on enterprise and professionals? ) My offer is to use a content delivery service. One source will be automatically posted to all other channels. Will keep all our channels updated automatically, easy and centric :) Dlvr.it has good at this but the problem is Google+ is included in paid service. Alternatively we can use the new and crazy https://ifttt.com/wtf which can use Google+ too. I disagree too, but I think Florian meant something else. He meant in terms of automated content delivery, the streams would be the same as a base, not necessarily as a daily activity stream where other things can be added. It's a social network obviously. The point is to be more inclusive in all available mainstream channels. (Of the topic, do we have TDF or LibreOffice in linked.in can be focused on enterprise and professionals? ) We have an official one that's manned by an unknown person and I'd like to have this under our control. Just need to decide which will be the main source of the content.
