[libreoffice-marketing] 2014 LibreOffice themed 12 page calendar - some US holidays included

2014-01-02 Thread Kracked_P_P---webmaster

Here is a 2014 LibreOffice themed 12 page monthly calendar with some USA
holidays included.

The text is in Liberation Serif, so hopefully you have that installed,
but it should look well with other serif and san-serif fonts that you
should have on your system.

http://libreoffice-na.us/LibreOffice-2014-Calendar-with-USA-Holidays--landscape.odt

I used a LibreOffice banner that was offered in 2012 as the LibreOffice
theme part. Plus, the top rows are in a darker green. [Banner and
Month, Day of the week]

It prints out well on my inkjet printer[s].

This is a second draft of such a calendar, but it is good enough to
use now. If I has a good white background banner, then the top could
be a little bit different and use less ink.

I personally use this type of calendar on my refrigerator with the
current month and the next month posted so I can look at my appointments
and events easily.

If you us a Sunday first landscape calendar, and not in the USA, well
you can use the .odt file and remove the holidays and/or add your own.

I am thinking about doing a draft of a weekly calendar, or maybe a
bi-weekly one. But that is a lot more pages to edit.

What I would love to make is a standard wall calendar with the top
section a photo or graphic and the bottom section, below the staple
area, the calendar itself. If I can get enough LibreOffice themed
images, I may try this with a 2015 calendar or a 2014-2015 Academic
calendar. Since I can print tabloid sheets [11 by 17 inches], that
would work well for a standard wall calendar. Actually, if I make
one, I could see about getting it online in Lulu.com section for
print-on-demand calendars. That way it can be printed professionally
and maybe a little profit to LO from the sales.

That page may be where I got the banner[s] from.

I may do the white background version of the calendar, but it is not a
high priority for me. I just made the green one and offered it up to
the lists for any user to use. I may make a notice on the User's List
about the calendar file[s] as well.

Will the 4.2 theme design be all that different than what we currently
have? Right now, we could use the calendar so it is offered, as is, now
for the users to try. But when the new banners and designs come out,
then I can revisit the calendar design[s] for modification.

Have a look at:

The same banner and some others with white or blank background.

Maybe for this we should wait for our new 4.2 webdesign and the
banners resulting out of it so that we have an actual design.

OK, I decided to make a white banner top now, instead of later like I
implied in my last marketing email.
Copied this to the Users List so they have the link[s] as well without
making another email just for them.

Re: [libreoffice-marketing] Happy 2014 and Calendar

2014-01-02 Thread Robinson Tryon
Happy New Year to one and all at TDF and LibreOffice! May our users
multiply and our bug counts decrease in the months to come :-)

No calendar from me this year, but I did make a little doodle of a
happy LibreOffice user skating around a winter pond:
