Comment (by ankursinha):

 Migrated to wiki:
 https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Marketing/For_Ambassadors/Home_users

I'm still maintaining the github repository as a mirror of the wiki page.
The github repository will contain other stuff too, like translations,
images to be used, templates. The wiki page itself will get quite messy if
I throw all this info on to it.

 Thanks,
 Warm regards,
 Ankur

Hello Pete!
It's very nice to see you also here.
I'm pretty sure your contribution will be very important, both for
involving people in the magazine and in docs project.

I follow your work in your group and having you here is awesome.

See you soon.

Introducing Pete Travis to the Marketing group

Hi all,

I've threatened to contribute some content to Fedora magazine several
times, and have finally decided to get the ball rolling :)

I've been more or less involved with the project for a couple years now,
as I have time. For the most part, I hack on documentation and help on
IRC. Sometimes I offer opinions in community discussions, too.

I have only a vague awareness of marketing and branding concepts, so I
probably won't be bringing any big ideas to the group. I'd like to be
able to write an article for the Magazine from time to time, attend a
meeting on the off chance that I have time for it, and generally just
learn from the experience.

Inspiration: openSUSE flier

2013-10-08 Thread Jiri Eischmann
Hi,
at LinuxDays in Prague last weekend, I stopped by an openSUSE booth and
grabbed a flier they were giving away. Since some of you are working on
similar fliers for Fedora, I sending it here as an inspiration.

You can download it here:

Note this is non-obvious in the Trac ticket. It points to the master
branch and that only has a LICENSE and README.

Probably better to do this on the wiki, IMHO. Not everyone on the
Marketing team is going to have a GitHub account, and may not be
comfortable using git. Can we do this on the wiki?

Best,

RFC: Initial text for users' flyer

2013-10-08 Thread Ankur Sinha
Hi,

Would someone please have a few minutes to review the initial text that
I've drafted for the users' flyer?
https://fedorahosted.org/marketing-team/ticket/139

The git repository is here:
https://github.com/sanjayankur31/fedora-release-flyer-users/tree/devel/src

(I decided to throw it on github so any one can fork it and add/remove
stuff)
