Sounds good, thanks for the update, Sylvia! If you have any questions
about writing it or once you have a draft ready for review, let us know
and we're happy to help. :)

Hey gnokii, thanks for writing! For future reference, for anything
related to the Community Blog, please drop a line on the CommOps mailing
list so some of the folks on this list can review it as well. It will
help make sure it gets a more timely review. :)

Here is a public preview of the article:

At our last CommOps meeting, we put this one on the agenda. We were
curious as to when the ideal time to push this article out would be. Do
you want this to go out as soon as possible or do you want to wait for
closer to Fedora 24 (or maybe right on the tail of the beta announcement
for some extra spotlight)? Let us know what you had in mind and we can
aim to get it out.

Thanks for writing!

Hi Alexander, welcome to the Fedora Magazine! Your background and skill
set sounds awesome, and there are definitely ways we can help you write
about any of these projects and more for the Magazine.

At our last meeting, we reviewed this pitch and thought it sounded
excellent! We'd be happy to see this go out on the Magazine. We moved it
over to the Drafts status on the Magazine, so you should be able to go
ahead and write the article.

Let us know if you have any questions or need help along the way! Thanks
for contributing your time writing an article, we're looking forward to
seeing what you come up with! Once you finish the article, shoot a link
to the preview version to the list and we'll get it a featured image and
scheduled on the next open date.

[Marketing] Re: Request to upload Modularity videos to the Fedora YouTube cahnnel

2016-05-04 Thread Mark Terranova
Hello Courtney, the primary places outlined to put videos has been Vimeo &
Archive.org, last I heard there were no objections to YouTube of course :)

The videos need to be reviewed before getting the thumbs up, but, someone
with Fedoran Admin can over-ride the need to do each one separately if it
makes sense.

Im sure Nitesh or Croberts know more regarding this,

[Marketing] Request to upload Modularity videos to the Fedora YouTube cahnnel

2016-05-04 Thread Courtney Pacheco

Hi everyone,

The Modularity team would like to use the official Fedora YouTube
channel to upload demos related to the Modularity effort. We would also
like to upload our planning and grooming videos to share with the
community what is currently happening with our effort.

In essence, we are trying to *market* the changes we would like to see
in Fedora to give the Fedora community the opportunity to provide
feedback on these changes.

We would prefer to have a "sub-channel" (or the like) under the Fedora
YouTube channel that is focused solely on Modularity, as not everyone
interested in Fedora will be interested in Modularity. Similar to the
split between Fedora Magazine and Community Blog, these videos are more
for Fedora Contributors rather than Fedora Users.

Can you let me know if this is something we can do and what steps will
we need to take to make this happen?

Thanks for your time and consideration,

Courtney

Comment:

I recently found out that we had the [https://pagure.io/fedora-mktg
fedora-mktg] repository on Pagure, but we also have the
 [https://pagure.io/group/fedora-marketing Fedora Marketing group] too.

I think to take out two birds with one stone, it would be easiest to move
the repository to the Marketing Pagure group. Everyone who has access to
the repo now also has access via the Marketing group. It looks like
decause is the repository owner, so I don't know if there is an easy way
to "transfer" a repo from a person to an organization, or if we'd be
 better off forking it.
