Please correct, and then let's get working on this. We really need to get this done by next weekend. (I might have made some mistakes, as I'm kind of tired) Next weekend is *way* too late. You need time to check for spelling before giving it to translators. That easily takes 2-3 days depending on availability of a detailed person (e.g. shaunm). Translators themselves also need preferably a week. Don't forget that if we take 2+ weeks to write this, it takes more or less the same amount of time to translate. -- Regards, Olav -- marketing-list mailing list marketing-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/marketing-list
Re: GNOME Commit digest on Planet GNOME
As I mentioned before, I'm happy to do what the community agrees to do, but I won't be making the call :-) One question to solve is, what hackergotchi do we use? live images
Hey, just wanted to let you know that we have live images of 3.5.91 now: http://download.gnome.org/misc/testing/GNOME-3.5.91-LiveUSB.iso They're basically a debranded Fedora 18 desktop spin, and I think they're looking fairly nice. We'll try to refresh these for .92 next week. Hope that helps our marketing efforts. release notes help
I see that we're having some gaps in the release notes that need to be filled - would it make sense to contact the teams directly to ask for their help (e.g. #boxes for gnome-boxes, Jon and Cosimo for nautilus...) ? -- marketing-list mailing list marketing-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/marketing-list

Re: live images
I saw that! Thank you so much! This will help us out with screenshots and the like. I ran it yesterday, and it seems to work pretty good. sri On Tue, Sep 11, 2012 at 5:42 AM, Matthias Clasen matthias.cla...@gmail.comwrote: Hey, just wanted to let you know that we have live images of 3.5.91 now: http://download.gnome.org/misc/testing/GNOME-3.5.91-LiveUSB.iso They're basically a debranded Fedora 18 desktop spin, and I think they're looking fairly nice. Re: release notes help
Yes, this would help us out. Out of curiosity, did anybody see my list I sent out yesterday? I sent a list of things that needed to be done and there aer quite some gaps. We might have to drop some for sake of time. We only have a couple of days to finish this. sri On Tue, Sep 11, 2012 at 7:38 AM, Matthias Clasen matthias.cla...@gmail.comwrote: I see that we're having some gaps in the release notes that need to be filled - would it make sense to contact the teams directly to ask for their help (e.g. #boxes for gnome-boxes, Jon and Cosimo for nautilus...) ? -- marketing-list mailing list marketing-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/marketing-list -- marketing-list mailing list marketing-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/marketing-list
