Re: live gnome 3.4 images

 Hey Frederic!

Do you have any GNOME 3.4 live images that we can put on the website?  I
thought perhaps you have something setup using your OBS setup?  Let me
 know..

As I already told Alan Day yesterday, I didn't had time to work on 3.4
at all and I suggested he contacted Javier Hernandez Antunez who took
care of doing 3.2 images.

OBS is still available for this tasks and I'll be happy to mentor
somebody who might want to take action about it.

ignore the number of downloads, those include partials as well (download
 tools).

17,173,908,500,707 bytes for the -latest.iso link.

 about 650MB for the iso.

dividing using the real size I get 22600 downloads up to now.

 Wow, that's amazing!

I have asked fcrozat for the opensuse stats.

I'd love to hear the final figure.

We've gained about 700 Twitter followers since release day, too.

This got lost somehow, but here is some stats I got, regarding
openSUSE GNOME3 live image :

On GNOME 3 release day : 4526
April (after release): 141378
May: 42997

Could we get new live USB images for testing purposes? It would be nice
to get more feedback using that.

Well, I don't have time to handle it :(

But if somebody is interested, I'll be happy to mentor / help them.

What does this call (and its deadline) mean with regard to a potential
co-hosting with aKademy in 2012 again (Desktop Summit)?

The GNOME Foundation board and the aKademy board has already decided
that the Desktop Summit will be a bi-annual event for the time being.

Oh, that is unfortunate.  I assume that a newly elected board will be
able to reverse this decision.  Is that correct?

I don't see any good reason for not continuing Desktop Summit, using
bi-annual as a rule of thum.

 Hi All,

From the comments I conclude that people have no idea what the
classic/fallback desktop is and how it relates to G3.

Another conclusion could be; that humanity is doomed.

Perhaps the marketing team could address the first point.

Comments seem to refer to the whole thing as ugly.  I don't have fallback so
I can't really judge what shape it is in.  One compalined that they could
move the panels around or anything like that.

Does the live cd have fallback working?  I suppose I could take a look at
 it..

Yes, it has.

For Best Photo Competition, in my mind, it is easy to do if we choose one
photo tools, like picasa or flickr.

For example, let's say we will have a photo set called GNOME 3.0 Launch
Party , everyone can view and vote on each photos.

Is there better tools for Best Photo Competition? Anyone can suggest ?

I have to agree regarding Flickr 'group' as a tool to do photo
contest. We used it several time for Photographic background contest
when I was working at Mdv.
I also have a small C program to download all photo from a set, which
can help to do selection locally.

 Cool :-)
