Re: Proposal for GNOME press release about Nokia device
Hi, Sriram Ramkrishna a crit : GNOME enters embedded device market with Nokia No!Sorry, but we don't want to be in the embedded market. We discussed this at length in both marketing BOFs. We want this to be ISVs give GNOME software stack a stamp of approval Unfortunately, given that there was a release about Nokia during GUADEC already: http://www.gnome.org/press/releases/nokiadonation.html it looks like your work has been wasted. Leslie made the release in Stuttgart in co-operation with the Nokia people who were here. Leslie's going to be coming on the list now, so hopefully this won't happen again. Cheers, Dave. -- David Neary [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- marketing-list mailing list marketing-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/marketing-list

Hi Claus, Luis took lots of notes. I have only my memories. I expect he will write it up when he's back home and has recovered. Cheers, Dave. But since I did say I would try to come up with something I wanted to follow through on what I committed (albeit late.) Leslie's going to be coming on the list now, so hopefully this won't happen again. quote who=Claus Schwarm Relevant is everything interesting around the event: In a few weeks, we'll be in a position to start a marketing campaign, and possibly involve some press releases, about 10x10 (see my topaz talk video). :-) - Jeff -- GUADEC 2005: May 29th-31st http://2005.guadec.org/ http://www.xach.com/debian-users-are-beatniks.html -- marketing-list mailing list marketing-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/marketing-list

quote who=Claus Schwarm For example, I suggested a 5x5 goal here last october [1]. You probably never saw it, or don't remember. Whoa, prescient! Funny, that's about the time I started seriously thinking about this as well. I wonder if something happened around then to inject it into our heads? Rad! ;-) I already started thinking about a wiki page, made a few calculations about the numbers, possible ways to reach that numbers, etc. Very inspriring talk. I only missed a few details about your talk's topic Topaz. ;) Ha ha.
