Re: gnome tour mockup

Excuse if I don get into details, some of the technical aspects escape
to my knowledge (i.e. why AJAXś javascript is worse than E5's JS)

My points are:

- Whatever we do needs to be easily editable via the CMS.

- Whatever we do needs to fit in http://live.gnome.org/GnomeWeb/WebPolicies

- We can start doing something simple but effective that can be ready
for the launch. Then with a website already launched we can work on
improvemts without this time pressure. Working from scratch without
further references and with a tight deadline it's too unpleasant.

- Anyway the most elaborated tour we could imagine will need some
static pages to start discussing a build upon. Perhaps by now we don
need anything else than these static pages.

Cool! Good idea, well executed.

We need to see the design details in a real page, or at least a real
mockup considering the whole page. We might see better then how the
aqua effect plays in that context and we probably will realize that we
donçt need yet another GNOME foot (we have 2 in the header, a third
one is shown in the footer altough I'll attack that one).

PS: AJAX; I think it't the first time this acronym is mentioned in
our very long planning process...

Hello. I started working on the artwork for the Take the Tour

Thing is, I was side-tracked, since I got a pretty sleek idea. Below
 the text of:

put a AJAX based section that makes the tour more fun/fancy. It will
 totally rock in my opinion.

As long as it still works for browsers without Javascript. ;-)

So, here are some *very* early mockups, I'm still thinking about how
 it should look an act.

Looks great - I think this kind of overview is just what we need.

The 02 version also has a sorta featured app section, where in each
step of the take the tour ride, will change etc.

Definitely a good idea to add examples and screenshots to help annotate
the text.

Keep up the good work!
